The food is tasty but portion sizes not generous like in London. Everything except the soup based noodles recommended (soup tasted and looked like it was reconstituted (50p packet mix) with ramen noodles which are basically super noodles), but down to preference I suppose. That aside, the sauce based noodles and the tempura vegetables were yummy :-) ------------------------- We visited Xen last night during late night shopping and was VERY disappointed. They bring you prawn crackers which you pay £1.50 for but they were stale (probably last nights left-overs) so we sent them back. I ordered the chicken satay noodles - I was almost sick. This dish in the past, has been my favourite but the chicken was definitely on the dodgy side - it had that horrible taste you never forget! I didn't bother asking them to replace it, we just paid and left ~ disgusting. Xen has gone downhill since opening, the waiter was miserable too - will not be going back!

Our starters were great and very swift in arriving, but after that we were waiting almost an hour later for our mains while most people who had just walked in were served and had their bills in swift time. We had a film scheduled for 6:15pm and we ended up being late for this as our food arrived at 6:05pm. This was unfortunately my first experience but I do think this place is promising and would like to visit in future as I do not believe this is the normal standard here. Overall, exciting but a let down.

The menu is a mixture of rice, noodle and soup dishes along with specials and all taste great, they are well priced but the starters and drinks are a little pricey for what you get. I've been several times already and plan to go back in the new year, each time i've had something different from the menu and really enjoyed it, i'd recommend it to anyone. They also cater to groups easily, we recently had a party of 21 and the food arrived quickly, they also gave a complementary birthday dessert to the birthday boy. They also offer a take away service if you want to take some home!

The prices are comparable with any other takeaway in the area and they also do home delivery for a small charge which is really handy when it gets later in the evening and you don't want to get up and go out! The service in the shop itself is great, with friendly staff (who even let me off a few pence once when I was short rather than use my card which I offered!) and I have never had to wait long for my meal. Definitely the one to use in Redruth in my opinion!

The service was quite slow, I reckon they didn't expect a busy night on a Wednesday hence there was only 1 staff serving on the floor. The superb meal paid off so I won't complain.

The crispy beef and Seaweed tasted burnt and not edible. The chicken tasted off! Avoid this place at all costs. God knows how they ever got a single 5 star review! The order was £53 which makes it one of the most expensive in the area, I called the business to complaint and was promised a call back to replace the food which never materialised. Offers brilliant friendly service, a warm and intimate atmosphere and amazing value for money (think around £20 for two including beers) and the food is delicious! You will always order too much because the portions are very generous, but the Thai waitresses are always happy to parcel up a doggy bag. Also offers a takeaway service though this is little advertised. Only problem is that it is right in the middle of the town, and therefore nearby parking can be an issue. Also there is no wheelchair access and given the peaceful atmosphere, it may not be a good place for kids.
