This is a long time go to in this area. The service is top notch and the food is very well done. Both of us ordered entree's that were prepared very well they were served piping hot and extremely tasty. We started with drinks that were awesome too. What a horrible experience. We were in town for the day from a cruise ship. I live Cozumel and visited many times. This was my first bad experience. The greeters at the door seem not too thrilled or maybe they didn't want to be at work that day. It was 10am and we were some of the first customers. We sat down at the bar and my wife ordered a beer. I took a couple minutes to look through the menu. Very quickly I realized their drinks were extremely expensive. A mixed drink was $25 US. So I decided to get a beer. Unfortunately I could not get the bar tenders attention for 10 minutes. Not even busy. So my wife finished her beer and off we went. We went to Senior Frogs because the music was nice and atmosphere looked fun from the outside. There were 3 total tables occupied in the restaurant (slow day since it wasn't a cruise ship day). The several waiters were only concerned about entertaining the other two tables and didn't even care about our table of 3. We were not even offered shots or didn't get invited to participate in the game when there were only 2 tables left (after one group left). The manager only cared about giving lap dances to the table of cute girls in bikinis next to us. Honestly, I'm shocked at the service! Shame on them. We chose that restaurant when we had lots to choose from. We wanted something fun and exciting for my son's 16th birthday but we were completely ignored and were only served our food and drinks. I expected more! When you get charged $26 for 3 tacos, it's highway robbery. Obviously we agreed to pay their high prices for the fun atmosphere but we were completely ignored and wished we didn't go there! All the waiters cared about was clearing our plates (when it was clear that I was still eating)! We were forced to leave an 18% tip since we paid in cash! Unbelievable! We Stopped here on our cruise with Royal Caribbean. This venue is loud so if noise at 10am is problem this is not the venue for you. The servers are lively BUT note that this is a tourist trap. A big one! The drinks are watered down and the food was meh... mind you I only had a salad. There are shots being poured down customer's throat straight from the bottle (for a charge) the shot girl will rub and bounce your boobs even in front of your kids. That was not my favorite part. Last year we went to Cozumel on a Disney Cruise going to celebrate my sisters 21st birthday. Though she has special needs and as such we don't want her drinking so we asked if she could have some sprite, and they obliged without hesitation. It was a very family friendly environment with fun games and trivia which of course the winners were awarded with shots, though it wasn't forced upon anyone. For myself I enjoyed the level of care and generosity from all of the employees, taking time out of their day in an otherwise busy restaurant, they continued to deliver food and drinks in a regular pace not too fast and not too slow but just right. The music level was a little loud but not too over the top and they only blew their whistles sparingly, which was a nice touch. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this Senor Frogs. I implore you to visit Cozumel and pay a visit to this Senor Frogs, as it is family friendly and offers a fun time for the entire family, not just a drink fest. read more

We came here because it was pretty famous. I'd recommend the yard because it's only 15usd and it's a 28 oz one at that. You also get to keep your cup too! I got the strawberry margarita and it was too sweet but my friend got the mango and you can taste the alcohol. Watch out there is a shot lady that will offer 2 shots and after she is done she said 5$. Which for 2 shots is a good deal but it's not free so keep that in mind. We came from the carnival cruise and rode a taxi and it cost about 15 minutes to reach this restaurant. I ordered the oyster and it was small but for 8$ a dozen it's a steal! I'm not sure if I visit again but it's a nice enough place with lively music and super friendly staff! It's pretty cheap compared to America that's for sure. read more

I am not one to leave reviews, but my experience was frustrating. We tipped the guy that made balloon hats for the kids. We tipped the girl that did face/arm paint as well. Always a fun environment but the servers in Cozumel, Mexico think it is okay to charge $15US on a credit card when you say 15% tip. One should not have to pay extra attention and back track with the server to undo the $15US charge. We were just left feeling frustrated. read more

We decided to be touristas in Cozumel and visited Senor Frogs. We had some super friendly service and food that reminded us of home. It was also kind of cool to meet a manager who was from the same location that we had traveled from. All of the servers were friendly as well. As for the food...it was a good as we expected. We started off with a pound of buffalo wings and then split a plate of mixed beef and chicken fajitas. The wings were crispy and flavorful, much more spicy than your traditional wings. The fajitas were piping hot, smothered in cheese and piled high with veggies and meat on a skillet....everything you would want and expect from fajitas. Not honest about drink prices! Senor Frog's is up-beat and has appealing décor. It's also a great place to take pictures BUT...when I asked the price of a small margarita the server said "10 or 12 dollars American". I ordered a margarita, Tom ordered a large beer...our bill was $24.47! The margarita was priced at $17 on the bill. When I asked the server for a copy of the receipt...he tore off the bottom that had no info on it and handed that to me. He said "You come to Mexico...you tip". I again asked for the receipt copy which he gave to me. We did tip him but we didn't appreciate his attitude. We left and went to Pancho's BackYard. read more

We were on vacation and my daughter likes to go to Senor Frogs whenever we are near one. This is the first time we were at this one in Cozumel. The atmosphere was very festive, everyone had balloon hats on and lively music playing. Our waiter Marlon was awesome. We only ordered Quesadillas apps and for my drink I ordered a Bahama Mama, Yard size, of course, no driving involved, which I didn't care for so our waiter was nice enough to switch it to the same drink my wife had, a coconut margarita, That was awesome. They had both music playing, beer drinking contest, conga line with tequila shots and some live music as well. The staff had made It a very exciting fun place to stop and have a bite to eat and drinks. If you are in the area and you like to have a good partying time, stop in, you be pleased. read more

I've read several of the reviews here and will have to agree with most of the ones who also have rated 3-stars or lower. Like was this a bad experience ... absolutely not ... I mean the music was loud ... the atmosphere festive ... the service was great ... the drinks strong ... and the food came fast ... all of that would seem to make a 5-star rating ... but I think for me as that this was my first time in Mexico (and Senor Frogs came highly recommended) ... I really was looking for something a bit more authentic. So needless to say I guess because of my expectations (which could have been off) ... i was a little disappointed. In other words had I been dropped in Senor Frogs blindfolded, I may not have even known I was in Mexico except to wonder how they managed to have an entirely Mexican crew! The music was all American Hip Hop and Pop and the food was not any more unique than having "Mexican" dishes in the US. Heck the Mexican restaurants in the US were more Mexican than this. Grant it i could have looked for something more authentic but did not have the time or the transportation to really explore (as I was docked for only few hours --- was on a cruise btw). If in Cozumel again would i go back ... sure ... as I am certain I would have a good time with friends ... but if you are looking for something a bit more authentic ... this may not be the place. read more

We were on vacation, just got off the cruise ship and was looking for a place to rest and get out of the sun. I've heard about Señor Frog's from a couple of my other friends and they told me if I found one, I had to stop. Well, I will say one thing, first, before my review - I am not a drinker! Doesn't mean that I don't know how to have fun, but I do it without alcohol. I'm obnoxious when I drink. So, with that said, this might not have been the place for me. This is definitely a drinker's heaven. From the moment we walked in, and before we even sat down at our table, three waitresses stopped us shoving a nozzle of something in our face asking if we wanted a shot. First, they were five dollars a swallow and who knows how many mouths the nozzle had touched in the process. But, without going into all that, people were literally lined up for these shots - some coming back through for more. Also, the girls that were pushing the shots had whistles and would blow them each time someone took a drink. I wanted to strangle them by the time we even sat down. Now, granted, I was hot, sweaty and aggravated by being harassed by every vendor on the street, that this might not have been the place for us to stop for lunch. But, after we sat down and I made it clear to the drink girls that I was not interested, I did have a great time. We ordered a simple lunch and enjoyed the entertainment. There was a lot going on- along with the drinking games going on all around us, the sound of the whistles, they also had dancing shows, game shows and contests happening on the small stage that was in the center of the facility. It was hilarious to watch, especially if the entertainers were super drunk. Many of the people that were there were also people from our cruise ship, so don't worry that they drove home afterward, they only had to stagger back to port and get on the boat. Our food wasn't really anything special, but let me tell you.... after being on a ship for two days and being restricted (not really) from what you ate- chicken wings were a delicious site for sore eyes. It really didn't matter what they tasted like, I was going to be in love with them. They were delicious. The place was packed and the waiters were very busy, so service was slow and was expected. Nothing they could do about the crowd. But they were super nice and patient with my indecisions. For being on a small island and not really sure about eating food from a small cafe or foreign restaurant, it was nice to see a place that was a known chain. We ate, relaxed- even though very noisy, and really enjoyed our visit. Maybe next time I visit one of these places, it'll be at night when I'm ready to party and have a good time. read more
