Took 2:30 PM advanced ballet class today. I don't speak Italian, and the teacher made no effort at…read moreall to make sure I understood her instructions. She barely marked, spoke quickly and only talked/critiqued those she knew. Literally walked past me as if I were invisible. I was the oldest in class (51) and she clearly did not like that I showed up to dance with the rest of the class (all under 25) despite my skill being similar but without the benefit of knowing what she wanted. Floor had no spring at all, felt like concrete under the wood. In my opinion, this was a classic case of ballet ageism.
