Scuba Moraira is a great scuba diving centre which recently helped me complete my PADI Open Water scuba course. The staff, particularly Grant and Sam, were really great, friendly and made me feel safe and secure, while trying to breathe underwater and not drown myself! I was able to book the course in advance of my trip and was sent the learning materials (book and DVD) to my UK address. The course involved one session in the classroom covering the theory, one in the swimming pool, and two ocean-based sessions. The equipment that they rent out is new and good quality. They have a well stocked shop, and are very knowledgable in all aspects of scuba. The centre covers a large dive area from Calpe to Javea. During the summer they offer up to five dives a day as well as cavern and night dives. I was able to experience a huge array of marine life including sun fish, morray eels, octopus and a huge selection of fish (as well as numerous jellyfish - urrgh!!) At the end of the course I may not have become an elegant diver with the skills of a fish, more like a floundering fish out of water (pardon the pun!) but I really loved the experience and am already planning my next trip back to Moraira to get some more diving under my belt asap. read more
