Small trail around a tiny lake, but quaint and well kept, flowers and biting fish. Benches for a lunch, very easy for kids.

Prettier once you get out of the creepy woods

I came here in Feb 2015. I guess I came in here though the back because it was so confusing where to go, there are no signs. Once I finally found the right trail. I really didn't want to go. The place was creepy, there was a bum sleeping on a bench. There were two small bridges that look cute but the surroundings are trashy, muddy & murky. As I finally got into the clearing there is a nice long bridge that goes on top of the pond/small lake. The pond is very brown, cannot see an inch of depth. There are ducks but their scaredy cats, so no fun. I'm sitting here now, it's okay.. Besides the heavy sound of traffic & browness all around. It's a good place to sit for a while, may be better to have some company. You should check it out at least once, it's always fun to explore new places, that's why I'm here :)

Brought my dogs and won't be coming back. Trash everywhere, graffiti all over, did not feel safe. Definitely wouldn't come here alone.

There were lots of homeless people. The wooden deck was also in bad shape. It was also very small.

Picnic tables were available for sharing meals and placing our bags/items as we watched the children play, discover, explore. There's a lot to like about this park. My two biggest problems with it though are parking and drainage. There are maybe a dozen parking spaces for the park and the parking lot itself is relatively narrow. So what that means is on a nice day there's a good chance that you'll get there and there won't be any parking available and turning around will be problematic. There is residential parking on the backside of the park, but it can be hard to find if you're unfamiliar with the area. You're better off parking at the elementary school down the street and walking over, rather than trying to find the side-street parking. The draining problem is my biggest problem with the park. There is a large grassy field, which is perfect for running around and different "ball" sports; however, the park definitely holds onto all recent moisture for far too long. I've been to the park a number of times 3+ days after it's rained, when temperatures have been well over 70+ degrees and our feet end up getting soaked through our shoes if we spend too much time in the grass - there's also a chance of "slippage" as well if running through it too. The covered picnic areas are spacious, though both are in a "dark" area and look a little bit dirty. Because of the drainage problems, there sometimes are puddles, with what looks like oil (?) deposits in it as well - so we've had to keep children away from those a number of times. The play area is nice - there are two sets of swing sets and a small and large slide. I feel like the play area could be bigger, due to the size of the park and the population of Lynnwood, but it's not bad. There is also a small sprinkler area with a handful of sprinklers for children on a hot day. All-in-all, it's not a bad park to check out, but it definitely has its flaws.
