I am extremely disappointed as I have waited so long to get this mammogram. I am having pain and discomfort and I used to go for diagnostic screening as I had a fine with biopsy in the past. My doctor said they were not allowing referrals for those anymore. My Mother was diagnosed and died of breast cancer the same age I am now. I was also denied genetic testing even through numerous close relatives died of cancer. I was the last patient of the day and was having difficulty finding parking. I was 8 minutes late for my appointment and they turned me away as they said they don't work overtime. Then said I can't get in till Dec now. I am scared and very upset with the whole situation. My family doctor gave up her practice and I am also without a doctor. There are no doctors taking new patients. The medical system is really not looking good for BC Canada. read more
