This is just so much fun!…read more You start the day getting into the gear and going through a small lesson on using the gear, which is mandatory regardless of having done it before or not. The rest of the trails are built in a way that when you're done with one, you can easily climb into the next one. Also, they have very clever signs telling you to take a break (snacks, water) after doing certain trails so you won't fall off your feet from exhaustion. My favourite trail was the brown trail where you just hook yourself onto the cable, jump off the platform and glide on to the next. No climbing (except to get up and down from the trail), no creepy moving objects that you need to balance on, just good old gliding with the wind in your hairs! Be careful you don't get said hairs in the steel cable though, so tie up long hair. We'll definitely be back, but next time I'll probably only do the first two grown-up trails and then go have some fun on the brown trail and the kids' trails! The red trail was simply too terrifying for me but I suppose that's a good thing at a place like this and really gets your heart going. I had a great time and a great workout without the feeling of working out. And I'll take every chance I get to leave le boyfriend in awe of how strong my body actually is. Never underestimate me! ;)

When I came up…read moreto rent a boat, the man doing the rentals exclaimed, "You don't look like a buyer!" which cracked me up because I work in sales and know what he means. I think people in sales tend to try and gage who is going to be a "buyer" and who's not before they even say whether they will be or not, and you can end up being pleasantly surprised a lot of the time. They don't require a boating license in order to rent their boats, which meant I was in for an adventure because I had never driven a motorboat before! But the entire experience has made me love boating. I got into my red motorboat and was given a map of the canals. Along the way I met others who were also renting the boats during the same five hours I was, so we got to share in the experience. Hilariously, I crashed multiple times into a large tour guide boat full of tourists, but I just laughed it out at the guy's frustration, given that this was my first time on a motorboat. The actual steering of the boat was pretty straightforward, but toward the end of my five hours I wasn't able to find the original guy from Vakantiepark who had rented the boat to me, so I simply left it on the side of the canal and hopped right out! He was happy to go fish it out for me. Overall I had a great time renting a motorboat from Vakantiepark and would definitely rent from them again.

Yeah! A Dutch dropzone…read more Teuge is tucked away in the middle of what seems to be "nowhere." Surrounded by farms, fields, and nothing particularly stunning. But, definitely still in a pretty area. The hangar is nice. It's in great shape. The manifest is efficient. There's a nice cafe attached. The plane is super fast. The ride to altitude is such a short trip! They have a Cessna Caravan and a Cessna Cargomaster. I rode in the Caravan. Landing area is huge. The staff are friendly and the weekend that I went out for some jumps, there were a lot of freeflyers out there having a great time. Good vibe at the dz. Normal jump prices for licensed jumpers & there's a rigging room/shop next to it, so easy if you forget your goggles - need to rent a rig.
