The place is what you'd expect inside. Music memorabilia on the walls. A few places to sit. And a good stage for small time bands. This was the first time I've gone and maybe the last. Have always had my eye on Scout Bar as they have some really cool bands that you would not expect - Peter Murphy, Sons of Texas, Black Stone Cherry, etc. - and is close to home. Finally made it in to see Texas Flood 2/9/19. (Holy smokes! Could that guy wail on the guitar!) Cool venue with a great vibe. Decent sized venue with good access to the two bar areas. Prices for beer and water are steep, but it's a concert venue. Nice staff. There's not much in the way of seating, but you can get a table for the higher ticket prices. Plenty of standing room, but probably depends on the band/crowd. Hit the ramen bar next door (Jinya?) before heading to the show. Rock on! read more

This place ought to be condemned. Hitting this bar/club was a last minute decision at the end of a night out. There were perhaps a dozen people in the whole place at 1am, which was odd to see considering the size of the place. There was what looked to be ragged carpet on the floors, and a mixed cloud of cigarette smoke and the bands smoke machine tainting the air. My girlfriend and I walked in, did a loop of the place, then quickly made a beeline to the exit where we then were off to "scout " out other bars. read more

Friday, Sept. 4th, was our first time at Scout Bar and it won't be our last time! We loved hearing Southbound 45, Hayden Carpenter, and Big Smo in a friendly & comfortable environment. The Manager Aline Wilson reserved us a table with a booth backing since we can't stand or do bar stools due to disabilities. The location of the table/booth was perfect and the server for drinks was awesome & very attentive. We did smell pot a few times during the concerts, but nothing big. The staff was very present and everyone had a good/safe time! I have never felt so safe, relaxed, and comfortable like I did at Scout Bar. Such a great great place to go see concerts and we will always drive from Humble to go back there! Way to go Scout Bar! read more

Came here to see Geoff Tate's Operation: Mindcrime and loved it. I've always heard of this place, but there hadn't been anyone worth seeing in order to have to travel so far. I live in SW Houston. Nevertheless, this is a great place to see a live show. Intimate, but not small. Classy, but not expensive. Seriously, I enjoyed this place so much, I might consider traveling all the way over there even when there isn't someone worth seeing. LOL read more

They should call this less a bar and more of a stage and speaker stack with a alcohol serving area attached. I have seen a few good bands play here, but if you don't dress up like a goth kid from high school do expect some stares. The big ass beer is very worth it and the kegs are changed very regularly. Being a guy new to Texas, I think I may have found the spot to watch local live bands. If you like rock music, this is the place to go. Bartender was cool and very polite, the bouncers were even cool peeps. Drinks were reasonably priced as well. I was told you just have to look on the site to see who's playing that night, which was what I had did anyways. Now granted I never heard of the band, and looked up one song before going. They were pretty sick! So good I bought both CDs. (Nothing More is the group) Give this place a chance if you haven't. I enjoyed it! read more

Really nice place! I love the size of it. We were there a little before doors, ten minutes maybe, still got to be in the front. Saw SafetySuit here 2/9/2016, they were incredible so that's probably affecting my rating. They're strict on their age policy, marked both my hands with Xs because I'm not legal. Also, they have free water for those of us too broke and young. I would recommend this place for intimate shows, it's small but not too small. Love love love. read more

My friends invited me here over the weekend to watch the Spazmatics play and we had a blast! Parking lot is huge so there is no problem parking. Tickets at the door were $12. It was a Friday night and the place was packed! Drinks were reasonably priced. The popcorn took all of our money! It was hot and fresh. Great show and great vibes. read more

This place books a lot of big names for being such a small venue. Many of the touring acts come back year after year, indicating there is something they too appreciate about Scout Bar. I have seen Hank III, Texas Hippie Coalition, Kittie, and many others play here. Looking forward to Wayne Hancock in November and Butcher Babies in October. The drink prices (on concert nights) are a dollar or so higher than I would like to see, but nothing unusual compared to what you would pay at bigger venues elsewhere. Lots of parking lot space yet somehow it still fills up quickly on sold out shows. Ticket prices are reasonable, they have a large patio/smoking area, and the sound quality is great. read more

I have a great time @ scout bar every time i go. Def the place to go if you like live music and awsome drink specials. The texas buzz on sundays is pretty good and 5 dollars pitchers and 2.50 jagers cant go wrong. Thur with absolete august 1.75 big ass beer night and 1.75 well shots can get the party started :) not to mention something on sale almost every night of the week. (except national acts ofcourse) seen some national acts there can get pretty crowded but never exspensive to get it in. The only bad thing is they have a 1 small mens bathroom that is always crowded on busy nights/shows. (i believe 2 women bathrooms) and they have a small smoking section. Can get very loud for such a small place but when the music is good its alright. iv been to alot of big concerts and huge arena's and then getting to see the same band face to face with yourself only a couple feet away pretty awsome. I rate you 5 stars all in all pretty awsome place. I dont ever hang out in the green room dance club also located inside scout bar, but on weekends it seems pretty popping and full so appearently some people like it . read more

Very strange crowd of trendy yokels. They have a decent sound system and sometimes get decent bands but it's usually cover bands or some one hit wonder alternative 90s band or a nu-metal band from the later 90s early 2000s. Also every local band that plays here seems to have that crappy radio rock sound. They all sound alike and it sucks. read more

the location is strange, but when a band i've been following for a while booked a show there, i had to try it out. the set-up of the place was fine, but when the show started, people started lighting up like crazy and smoke lingered in the room. i'll not go back for the smoke alone. however, when the artist started making jokes about the smoke, it seems as if the crowd aimed to chain-smoke him out of the place. then there were the kids who were calling him a homo. the worst didn't end up being the smoke or the creepy crowd but the bumping house music from the room next door. the doors to that side room were left open which prevented the artist from being able hear himself. the whole night was just awful. i'm happy the rest of you enjoy this place, but i'll not be returning. read more

Ok so I don't hang out here on a regular basis. I do however go and see national acts when they come to town. They draw a lot of heavier bands on tour. Their sound system is great and I have never seen a band here where I thought the sound was off or bad. The facility itself recently changed. There used to be a dance room called the green room and it is gone and has been replaced with more seating and another bar. I think this is a big improvement. This venue is still small however and if you go you are going to see the bands close up from pretty much anywhere in the club. The drinks are cold and they have a full bar. Prices are not bad. The staff is always friendly and there is usually enough of them so you don't have to wait long to get your drink. The bathrooms are always clean as well. There is no smoking but there 2 outdoor area if you like. I believe they now have a food truck there on some nights. So to wrap it up. Great local venue to see national touring acts. Run professionally. I would not hesitate if you see your favorite band is playing here. As for a nightly hang out I really can't say but this place has been open a long time so they must be doing something right. read more

Sound was great once the band started. Site said doors open at 8 and band goes on at 9. Band didn't start until 11 and played until 2. Don't know if it was just the crowd that night or what but no one wanted to talk. Bunch of rude people there. It was like high school. Went to see a friends band play. $5 domestic beer then they open for me and pour into a plastic cup...WTH if I wanted a draft id ask for a draft. Lady tells me it's because no glass yet these potatoes are serving mixed drinks and shots in glasses. Great concert venue, it's a little small for some of the musical stylings they bring in, but it's got a nice vibe and the acoustics are good. They are pretty versatile with the genres of music and the drink/ticket prices are reasonable. They take security pretty seriously too, which is comforting because many similar establishments don't. read more

I had to film a band performing at this place, so I didn't get to see everything this place has to offer, but from the stuff I did see, I was very impressed. First of they do let under 21 in, so that's always is a plus. The atmosphere is very awesome (if you love hard rock music YOU WILL LOVE THIS PLACE) and a very nice place to be. Since I am under 21 at the time of this review I can't comment on their alcohol selection, but from what I saw it was ok. They have live bands playing every weekend (I think). Inside there's a area where if you just want to drink and not listen to the band, the room has a sound prof wall. One thing that makes this bar unique id that they have a outdoor smoking section, so if you have a problem with smoking, you'll be ok here. When I turn 21, this will definitely be my favourite bar to go to. read more

I have been here for a couple shows and I was really impressed. The venue is small, so there is a really intimate feeling when watching even big name acts. There is seating both inside and outside the bar, so if you smoke there is a comfortable spot outside and if not there is plenty of inside spots (both booths and tables). I only been here twice, for Kamelot and Powerman 5000. Both times the place has been fantastic and quick. The Acoustics is surprisingly great, this is a small venue so be prepared to get early to get best spots and expect the restrooms to be cramped, more so after the show. It is far out from where I live (Spring) and still far from the center of the city. The parking is free and there is a big lot so no need to pay for paid parking. Drinks are strong and some specials depending on the day and show. security is tight which is a good thing. This was a two part venue and not sure if it still is, with the other room doing EDM music, but again correct me if I'm wrong. read more

This place is not what it used to be. Played here in a band as well as seen shows and it used to be a cool place to come. Went there to a show recently and it was not a good experience at all. They let WAY TO MANY people in. There is no way they were within capacity for occupation. If there had been a fire people would've died for sure. After being almost crushed standing in front of the stage we have beer dumped all over us by people who thought it would be a good idea to start fighting with kids in the area ( it was an all ages show). We had to plow our way out of the place. Will not be going back. Ever. read more
