We have found however, that sometimes the fish are not that healthy, and have had some several sad occasions of them not lasting that long. However, for our first fish who was not well, upon approaching the staff, their expertise and helpfulness was most welcome, as they tested the water of the tank for us then and there. A service that goes beyond what one would expect.

It stocks small animals and fish, although I have never noticed birds, but all of the stuff I buy is at the front of the store so perhaps they are a little further up. It's a relatively small store but packs in loads of stuff; we always get our puppy gravy bones from here which you can pick yourself, in a sort of doggy pick n mix. The prices are very, very reasonable too, with a good sized bag of dog treats coming to just under a pound. You would have paid triple that amount in Pets at Home! Hopefully this wee shop doesn't suffer because of Pets at Home's success!

Alas, the shop does not sell any food but the artistic spirit lives there so you could genuinely amazed by some of the inventions you can see there. Another funny thing about this shop is that it has not got fixed working hours but if you arrive at midday you will be on the safe side.
