I loved the TV show but Scott's latest venture is to cash in by selling get rich quick training. Of course they make it clear that's not what they are doing and that there are no guarantees. BTW Scott does not show up. They hooked me in with a free introductory presentation over lunch. We sat through the first used car salesman who would start many questions with "raise your hand if." Five obviously yes questions culminated in a request to sign up for the 3 day $997 class. At the beginning of the meeting they said "don't leave early because everyone will get a $250 travel voucher. Lunch turned out to be a lunch meat sandwich in a box with a bag of chips and a apple. No drink. I was a sucker and stayed for the travel voucher. Tried to use it. Found out that you could purchase items, wine and travel. Tried to purchase a over priced kitchen mixer. Could I apply the $250 to the cost......no. They let you apply a small amount. With the $50 discount it was cheaper to buy the same product online. Voucher worthless. Even my condo presentation people came through with the $200 Visa card. The second speaker was a bigger used car salesman. He was selling a 2 1/2 day options training class for $299. Actually probably a better deal. More people would probably make money trading options than a "wholesale (no repair) flip" scheme. Save your money. Scott, bring back the show. read more

I have been slowly investing in single family homes since 2005 and I decided to attended a free seminar in Torrance, CA recently to see if I could pick up a couple of good tips or learn about different markets. Scott himself was not present, of course. This first presenter, "Trent" provided some very basic strategies about a few flip concepts. The "meat" of the highly scripted and staged presentation is ongoing promotion of a $2,000 three-day seminar. Based on further research on my part, I later learned that the $2,000 seminar is basically a sales pitch for $20K to $40K worth of "additional training" and "mentoring." All of the success stories that they described came from these people who bought these additional materials or training. I believe that this is horribly deceptive, misleading and unethical and it seems like they are preying on the unsophisticated and the elderly. The address and phone in this listing cannot be found on their website. Hmmmm... What really confused me was their "no credit" loan process. There were no details on how this really works, and there are zero opportunities for questions or discussion from the audience. The communication was all one-way, well crafted and tightly controlled. The tax liens presentation was interesting, but it had a $1,500 "membership" for access. The presenter was one of the slickest guys I have ever seen. I'm a marketing professional myself, but I was just marveling at his presentation style. I just looked up my 401K. I've been doing 12.52% since 2009 with pre-tax dollars, so I don't know how much an 18% lien with after-tax dollars really beats that. I left after about 3-1/2 hours, losing out on my "free gifts" in the process. Just attended a Scott Yancy/Affluence EDU event in Temecula. I am always skeptical going into these things, a pre 2008 real estate "training" class held by Jeff Kaller; scum bag, has forever armed me against scammers. Never do a RE class with him. 40K out of my pockets-tough lesson! BUT, my lesson learned, loud and clear. Sorry to report the same for Scott and Amie Yancy's course. First, Scott Yancy has never come across as a nice guy on his flipping vegas show but I thought I'd check it out anyway. I knew the Yancy's would not be there, they have bigger fish to fry when they get your money. I didn't get a good feeling overall. I'm a podcast person and have learned a lot by listening to them, for free. You might want to consider the same. Always do your research, no matter how hard Scott Yancy's Group try and sell you "today". They smelled like rotten fish the whole way through. The initial presenter, Steve Johnson says he's been working with Scott and Amie for almost 10 years, maybe that's true. He is very entertaining and funny. This is business though and when you are talking about my money, you'd better be serious and bring serious substance. He sketchy looking; talked fast and didn't look at anyone, he looks over our heads. I didn't learn anything from his pitch I hadn't already learned in a podcast. Actually, I learned a great deal more from the podcast I listen to on BIGGER POCKETS this morning. Of course, Steve pitched a CRM platform for $997 and access to it for $29 bucks a month. Let's face it, at a free event they are trying to sell you something- Just make certain it's actually worth it. In this case, I would strongly urge not. The second presenter, also a Steve talked about stock options; puts and calls. "Timing is everything and there are pros and cons to having different types of investments." He offered 3-day event for stock put and call training for $297 to individuals who did NOT sign up for first guys ($997 pitch/real estate funding and online access platform). For those who did sign up with first offer, they were offered 3 day stock opt and put training for $197. Again, you can learn about stock puts and calls on your own, for free. Just Google it- or buy a book for 15 bucks. They probably converted 2 percent of the room, that's good money at $1000 a head. Most of the 2 percent buying both, that's $1200 bucks per person. Hard-working, middle-class people who obviously don't know much about real estate (I could tell from the questions they were asking) buying into 3 day session for $1,200 and when they go they will be asked for another 20-40K. Ay yi yi! These SCAMMERS COME OUT OF THE WOODWORK WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH. it's hard to make money in real estate right now because it is OVERPRICED across the board. A correction is coming in the market. I scooted out of the event prior to the free-bees. I didn't want to waste any time talking to anyone. I had heard nothing of value during the event, why waste any more time? THAT'S A BIG RED FLAG. When you can't grab ONE "AHA" during a free event. Just look at the long list of terrible reviews. All they want is your money. "....find good deals." This is not a good deal. This is ONE of Yancy's Multiple Streams of Income, and it happens to be PASSIVE INCOME for him because he's got nothing to do with holding the seminars. As much as I enjoy watching Scott's TV show, but his real estate retreat is a scam. They prey on the lower middle class who don't have much money in the first place. I could invest the $1000 but when they asked me, a single mother to take $30,000 out my 401k was deplorable. It was classic bait and switch, just to get you to sign up for the class. And to back track a little, the "FREE SEMINAR" with "Breakfast" is a scam too. The people that live in your area to give a testimony on how great it was NEVER SHOW up, they got stuck in traffic. I am very disappointed with outcome of the class . I paid $900+ to go an all weekend class 1.25.19 to 1.27.19. The presenter of this class told us about this great website we were going to have access to, at the end of the class. I was provider a pager to talk to a salesperson when it went off. I spoke to Kellie Brown and she told me that I was not getting access to the website unless I paid $30,000; I was very mad. By the way, I signed a contract for $1000 to have the class and access to the website. I reached out to Kelly on Monday and she denied our conversation. She said "I never told you about not having access to the web site" She said on 1.25.19 " it is all or nothing". No integrity. These people are going to take your money, runnnnnn. I will report this to the authorities, for sure. P.S. I noticed senior citizens in the class and it looked like they took their money ($30K), how sad...I think someone should investigate these people. read more

I have purchased many systems and programs over the years. I pride myself on learning and growing. I like to learn the most efficient way possible. Below is my opinion on the Yancy program and I did purchase their Diamond Package. Scott Yancy was not involved in any training that I was a part of. His wife made a brief appearance at the event in Vegas. I am betting they just license his name and pay a royalty. I admit I got SOLD into the big program and spent a lot of money. Don't! I repeat DON'T waste your money. This is WAY overpriced, they way over promise and under deliver. I hope this review keeps as many people as possible from the hard core sales pitches and relentless upsells. Don't even attend the free event. It is a relentless hard core sales pitch and in my opinion should be illegal. Every event starting with the free event they tell you that you need to pay more to learn enough to be successful. Even after spending 5 figures on the Diamond package. They tell you to purchase their mentoring program which is a joke. It was sad watching endless people spend money on their credit cards that they don't have. Even teaching folks how to increase their limit. Claiming it is to leverage real estate but really to purchase the higher price programs. Every event no matter how much you spend is another sales pitch. They try to sell you everything from land, to turn key rentals, to health supplements to stock trading systems. Yes, they do teach you the basics. However, you can learn this same stuff from online forums, local REI groups, partnering with a mentor for FAR, FAR Less Money. They make you think there is a magic pill to transform you into a successful real estate investor all the while sucking money from you that you could be using to purchase real estate. I am a successful Real Estate Investor and Business owner so I pride myself on making a good investment in my education. THIS WAS NOT A GOOD INVESTMENT. I would actually rate it as the worst program I have ever purchased considering the money I spent. The information itself is not bad. JUST WAY OVERPRICED. Plus the unethical sales tactics they use to sell it is in my opinion is criminal. I have found books, forums and free resources with some easy Google searching that have been far more valuable. My Son received an invitation and talked me into going as his Guest. He wanted to go because of the free food and the promise on a Free MP3 Player if you sat through the whole lecture, which we did. What we didn't expect is at the end of the 3 hour lecture instead of a MP3 Player we got a voucher with a website that they said we had to go to. When people asked why they replied "There were more people than we expected and we ran out." That put up the red flag for me and I had a feeling we would never see the Free MP3 Player. When we got home we did as instructed and filled out the online form for the Player. Well it has been a month and we have never received it. Yep, Scam in my book. Anytime anyone tells you that they can show you how to make money, you should be skeptical. So why would I rate this 5 stars? Let me tell you. I went to an event in up in Sacramento, CA. When I got there I was expecting a good presentation and to be sold some sort of training or package. Ultimately I wanted to figure out a way to get into real estate and start making more money than I am right now. I'm a big fan of Scott Yancey and the Flipping Vegas show, so I was hopeful. They did not disappoint. The information is spot on, the presenters are engaging, and the opportunity is real. They provided thousands of examples of people who have actually done real estate investments after going through their program. This was enough to get me excited. Personally, I'm looking to invest in something better than stocks and hopefully, eventually just work for myself. There aren't lot of businesses I would like to run, but real estate something I feel I can get behind and I'm willing to put in the effort to make that happen. While it is possible to become a successful real estate investor learning from the school of hard knocks, it's nice to have the Yancey support team backing me up. My advice to someone going to one of these seminars would be to know what to expect before you go. If you are looking to find an avenue to augment your financial situation, real estate could be the answer. I don't know if there is a magic bullet for getting rich, but I'm going to work at the real estate thing with Scott Yancey to see if I can make some magic happen. read more

First off, my name is NOT darlin. Secondly, a man was getting up to leave and he was rude to them. Third, I asked a question and a straight answer wasn't even given. I left after 30 minutes of listening to his cocky attitude. I met a few people there who informed me of the boxed sandwich they were given fr a DINNER!!! That's not a dinner, that's a kids lunch. You want all this money for this BS school. But you can't even give people a REAL dinner? Also... not for nothing, but if you want people to believe that this works, show them it does without them having to spend ANYTHING out of pocket. I wish there was a way to say that there was a class-action lawsuit pending for this SCAM because it has hurt many persons. We can't begin to imagine how this has impacted many who went there and spent everything they had. We have followed up with some others who participated in purchasing the "Diamond package" and they agree that it does not and has not worked. They remind me of a Time Share, with high pressure salesmen and there's no getting out of it once you are in. We went to a "real" investor who offers "real" classes at 6K. It costs, by the time you get done with their SCAM classes, more than 8 times what it would really cost. I have been investing in funding real estate deals for 20 years. Scott isn't being straight with you, to put it mildly. The property has to have a low LTV, but more importantly, NO ONE IS GOING TO LEND YOU MONEY WITHOUT YOU PUTTING MONEY INTO IT.....YOU HAVE TO HAVE SKIN IN THE GAME. Think about it. If you don't have at least, if not more, money into the house, and you get sick, hit by a car, lose interest, etc. down the road........I am freakin' stuck with a house I DON't want and will lose money. More importantly..........NO ONE IS GOING TO GIVE MONEY TO A FIRST TIME FLIPPER WHO IS NEW AT THIS. The Steve Yancey project about real estate is a hoax. The presenter will even tell you that the reviews on yelp are made up. I assure you they are not made up. He will tell you how it is big business to trash companies on Yelp and then charge companies $50,000 to the negative reviews down. I live in the San Francisco area and know people that work for Yelp and was told its a lie. Nobody gets paid to take down any reviews. I just attended a three-day in Berkeley California at the LaQuinta Inn. They go on and on about how these events are usually at high-end hotels. The one in Berkeley is anything but a high-end hotel. It's a three day hard sales pitch, seriously you learn nothing. All they do for three days is attempt to convince you that you need more training that cost close to $69,000. Basically you spend $2000 and are told for three days are you need to invest in more training. They keep referring to property Pro software. Deals cannot be done without property Pro software. Do participants get property pro at the end of the three day? No participants must spend more money to get it. On the first day the presenter has everybody's spend about 30 minutes calling their credit card company to attempt to raise their credit line. If people don't have credit they are encouraged to go to credit karma.com and check their credit scores and apply for offers. They want The participants to have high credit limits so they could pay for the additional training on day three. They even tell you your credit score doesn't matter, so ridiculous. One of the advisers, I think is what they call them, was encouraging me to participate in activities that would be lower my credit score. It was so sad to see how many minorities were in the room. Mostly the room consisted of African-Americans and Latin Americans. So sad that Yancey and Company what attempt to get money from people that appear desperate. So sad that Yancey thinks minorities are so desperate for money they will just Max out their credit cards and give their money away to Yancey and his team. This is a new kind of Racial profiling. The amount of valuable information presented could consist of about one hour or less. The presenter repeats the same thing time and time again. It is the most organized form of brainwashing I have ever witnessed. I met with my advisor/personal coach,as the Yancey people call him, and I could not sit through the group presentation. The presentation was horrible, I would give it a negative scores if possible. The presenter is useless. He is dressed nice.The words he says go against every single thing human beings are taught. The presenter offers nothing useful at all and it is a total waste of time, money, and is just a way for them to get $1000 per person. Do not waste your money with this program. I am real, I am not made up, and I am not getting any money for posting this negative review, nor am I going to get any money for removing this negative review. Again I can't stress enough, this is a waste of your money, your time, your energy, and any excitement that you have waiting to go to your three-day was surely disappear very quickly on Friday morning. My coach, my mentor want whatever it is Yancey and Company call the one on one person we meet with, told me he has never seen anybody make one deal without advanced training. This is his words. If you plan to spend about $69,000, I'm sure you can make some money over some period of time. First let me say don't waste your time and throw your invitation in the garbage. We attended Scott Yancey seminar yesterday and have nothing good to say about it from start to finish. First of all they ask you to wear business attire, why, can't figure it out. No need, shorts were fine. They tell you it will be a 90 minute presentation with lunch and prizes. Well the 90 minutes turned into 4 hours of hard pitched sales. Felt like we were at a timeshare presentation. Started at noon and it was 2:30 before they gave us our lunch. . A sandwich, chips, cookie, and water all in box that you had to eat on your lap while listening to the next pressure sale. It started with how to buy and sell real estate. Some information was interesting but the rest was all about buying into going to their 3 day seminar for a low cost of only $2000. Then while we ate, the next pitch on how to invest your money came with another pressure sell to attend their seminar for $500. Finally the 3rd pitch came on how to buy tax lien properties by attending another seminar for only $300. If that was not enough while they were smuzing the poor attendees who fell for the whole thing hook line and sinker we were left waiting to get our promised free MP3 players while still having to listen to another sell on if we did not buy into any of the other 3 seminars we could still get a DVD of 1/2 of the first day of the 3 day presentation for another $20. Once it was all over at 4 pm they handed MP3 players ( you can buy for $3 yourself) and and there was no mention of the computer that was to the first 50 to sign up. Needless to say by the end most people were super mad, tired, and felt like there were duped and wasted 4 hours of their time. FYI, every Free seminar will try to sell you their products once you are there. We went to their Glendale Arizona seminar last week. There were hundreds of people there, they all get pitched by several good sales people, they start with a higher price of $1,996 for their 3 day retreat training seminar and they tell you if you sign up on the spot, your price goes in half to $998 per person. They throw in other freebies to make it sound good! Once you sign up for this "3 Day Retreat", you will get pitched other products for additional cash. We did not stay for their free lunch, as we were not desperate enough for a $5 boxed lunch. I am a full time real estate investor and attended 1 of the free seminars and completed some research. Bottom line is this is another cookie cutter seminar formulated to take your money with no support or incentive for them to make sure you are successful. If you want success in any business especially real estate investing you should find a local real estate mentor. As an experienced investor I have heard the same from other successful investors. None of these seminar companies who travel from hotel to hotel care about your success. These Yancey seminars will run their course and walk away with as much of your hard earned money as they can. AVOID AVOID AVOID. Their techniques and strategies are dated and scripted. The disingenuous pitchmen can be compared to the used car salesmen stereotype. Went to a seminar in Virginia Beach, Virginia because of the promise of a Kindle Fire Stick. Nowhere in the information does it say you need to bring $2000 for a 3 day retreat. If I had $2000 I wouldn't be spending it for 3 days indoors. I've learned a lesson about being cheap. The Kindle Fire Stick is only $39 and I now know that my time is worth more than me trying to save the $39 by going to this seminar. If you have $2000 and 3 days it sounds like a nice program, but I can't attest to the 3 day retreat. DON'T GO. I attended Scott Yancey seminar yesterday at the Sheraton Reston. I didn't believe on anything that they talked about. It sounded like a big scam and yet people don't get it. The guy keeps repeating things over and over again. I think they are just after peoples money. I decide to leave after the break , when they were telling people to sign up.It looks like a set up, maybe their own people signing up to make it looks like there were people signing up. Complete waste of my time and a scam. Just a aggressive, smooth car salesman. I did sign up for the event but end up couldn't go because of work. Later asked a refund because of the whole event sounded like a scam, after I thought about it. Called and called but no one seems to know which department handles refund and 2 months past. I asked for a refund through my credit card a month after purchase. Get this, abundance Edu. LIED to my credit card company saying that I already went to the event therefore could not issue refund. And stupid US bank visa card believe them and reversed the credit. Finally got the refund after reporting to BBB! All of $2194. Winx1 BBB, thank you!! read more

Feel you were scam? Call them to request refund and contact credit card provider to dispute charge. I was able to get my money back, even after three days had passed. Walked off on first day of training after they try to get an additional $30,000. read more

Signed up for his seminar, based on an infomercial, not having seen his TV show. (Had I seen the TV show first, so unprofessional, I would not have signed up at all.) Had numerous reminder calls and emails. Confirmed we were coming. We showed up... as did approximately 75 other people... but NO ONE from Yancey's group did. After waiting about 30 minutes at a top notch hotel the hotel staff said they tried every contact # they had and could not reach any one from Yancey's group. When I checked the internet for further info (I should have done this first before committing to waste my time) I see many complaints. The good news is we only lost our drive time and 30 minutes waiting for him, but didn't have to endure an unprofessional presentation to take our money and waste more time. read more
