This is a great bookstore to ask for great reading recommendations!…read more I popped into this bookshop and asked the question I ask of all booksellers: Do you have any recommendations for novels that are uplifting, with characters you can root for, and possibly even a happy ending? Not a romance novel, but something about families and friends and the quieter dramas of everyday life, multi generational ensemble casts a plus! As you can imagine, this is a pretty challenging request to fulfill. But Debra at London Street Books had no trouble at all. We meandered through the shop together and she pulled out book after book, including three books I hadn't yet read and I absolutely loved them!

Lots of great books here and reasonable prices. Shame that the couple running the place seem so…read moremiserable. Maybe my partner and I caught them on a bad day but - after interrupting their reading or whatever it was - we both ended up feeling like dog excrement that had been scraped off their shoes. We didn't hang around to browse.

A great little movie store in Merivale. If you're Sky stops working or you're looking for a movie…read morenight with the family, pop into Video Ezy for New and Recent releases as well as a very decent stock of older movies. There are also videos and games for purchase. There are always deals going on at Video Ezy so you will rarely pay more than $6 for a New Release or $4 for anything else. The staff that works there is so helpful and knowledgeable about movies, so don't be scared to ask them for recommendations.
