This is now a very popular community centre that has so much going on ie art classes, yoga, short…read moremat bowls, photography and so much else. I know every room in this building as I went to school here. Upstairs are the offices, which has some painful memories as I used to get the cane here!! I go here with my friend Ray to view art/photography exhibitions now but we used to paint here with a group years ago. Still has a fond placeand it is good to see it thriving. Locals should give it a go!

There are computer games, art gamesall sorts of games here. I have seen how much fun the kids have here and I have to say much fun it is to be with them. The left hand photo is of my Grandaughter, Darcy.getting messy but loving it. Sadly, I have to report that this week mindless theives got in and stole everythingI mean everything. Not content with that.they trashed the whole place. It took the staff at Ashdown so long to put it all together for the kids.

The Child Contact Service is absolutely priceless, the staff are delightful, cautious-working,…read moreselfless and professional volunteers that are seriously needed in the area to help children and non-resident parents reunite to transform the lives of so many incredibly great children that just want to be left alone to see their estranged parent. The size of the play areas is large, the variety of toys and furniture is perfect for all children and of coarse, the safety of parents and children is paramount. They have snacks and drinks available, toilets and plenty of safe-space. They're open almost every other Saturday and the one time referral is £40, easy to process and self referrals are accepted.
