This branch of Scope is pretty similar to the others in Brighton, and doesn't seem to have thought too deeply about its demographic. Despite this it has some good moments. The women's wear is, as ever, the strongest, but there are a few shirts dotted about in the back and a large choice of accessories. The book section was middling - despite a few intriguing-looking modern writers most of it was the ubiquitous bonkbuster/thriller combo. I was most impressed by the large and striking fan in the window, which was certainly a reason to go in, but sadly the rest of the shop didn't quite live up to its brilliant façade. There's good, solid charity shopping to be done here, but if there's a branch closer to you, I wouldn't bother going further than that. read more
