Scoops is a little ice cream shop with barely any parking and three benches of sitting space. I am a fan of this place because it has the yummy, hard ice cream that I crave. Boo gelato! (Scoops has gelato and froyo too.) When you get a small cone (vs. a cup), they are super generous and pile on the icecream until it looks like it's about to topple over. This presents you with the challenge of balancing the sense that you should savor the calories you are about to consume with the need to eat up the ice cream before it melts all over you. I didn't give Scoops five stars because the gas station doesn't do much for the atmosphere. And even though they have a decent selection, I wish they had more flavors. read more

They are quick to get your order in, have a large selection, and haven't ever gotten my order wrong. The place can get pretty busy and there isn't any parking. We usually walk up. Scoops is pretty decent. It's cash only which believe it or not has deterrred my lazy butt from going there. I never carry cash and its too much work to go to the ATM for cash to feed my inner fatty with ice cream. When I do have dinero on me I head there and absolutely loove their Mint Oreo Cookie ice cream. It has fudge mixed in with big oreo pieces, its worth the wait in line which at tiems can be long, especially between 7-8pm. They have a huge menu ranging from water ice(the chewy kind, which i prefer bc its not too icy or watery) to soft ice cream, Fat free yogurt, hard hand dipped ice cream, Sundaes, Milkshakes... you get the idea. There was a significant line when we got there (Saturday evening in August) but it moved fast - 15 minutes after arrival, they handed us these great, big huge servings of hand dipped ice cream (note: Medium size is about three generous scoops!) that were delicious and perfect consistency. I only wish that they offered the creative sundaes like the Conshy Craze and Salted Caramel Pretzel with regular ice cream and not just soft serve (maybe they do, and I just didn't ask for it). Great size for the price even for a kiddie! Second time I tried the VEGAN soymilk vanilla almond bark and was very impressed! I noticed that there's a huge line at this place while driving by so decided to stop by to see what all the hype was about. They have tons of flavors to choose from. For a medium, you can get 3 scoops of your choice. I had the chance to try the expresso explosion, brownie batter and banana peanut butter. The ice cream was so rich and creamy. My absolute favorite was the brownie batter. They also have soft served, gelato and water ice. The service was super friendly and prices aren't too bad. There is plenty of street parking out front and some spaces in the adjacent gas station. Prices are good and service is prompt, but there is almost always a line on a nice summer night. Very tasty water ice! I had the pina colada flavor and the texture was creamy and smooth. The flavor was very good, not too sweet and didn't have too many artificial colors. My friend got the sugar free lemonade water ice and that was pretty much amazing...there were real pieces of lemon in there. I like the prices here too (slighter cheaper than Ritas) and I like the fact that it's this small ma and pa type place. Parking can be a bit tricky as there is only street parking. Be careful not to park in the Chinese restaurant's lot in front of Scoops or you may get towed. Also would be nice if they had chairs and tables out front to allow customers to consume their treats! read more

Not impressed with this place at all. We were coming through Conshohocken and I had remembered seeing Scoops many times while driving through before and thought we would stop. #1 the parking situation sucks. There's a big gas station next door that has signs posted all over their empty spots that you can't park there for Scoops. (Not the friendliest neighbors huh?) my boyfriend waited in the car while I ran up because otherwise you're stuck trying to find street parking. There was no one at the counter when I walked up and they ask that you ring the bell when you arrive. The teen girl working there was absolutely ANNOYED to have to to put her phone down for a moment and come scoop ice cream. She became even more annoyed and talked to me like I was a certified moron when I asked her what was in 2 of their ice cream flavors while deciding. Whatever I chose, she told me there was going to be an up charge for it. Ok cool. I can't imagine what the wait would be like if there were actually any customers since I was the only person there and spent a good 10+ minutes getting one milkshake and a small frozen yogurt. The last straw for me was how incredibly robbed I felt when I paid. (Apologies as I don't remember the exact amount for those 2 items) Ice cream should make people happy ... Oh man do I love Scoops! I can not ask for anything better than a really good local ice-cream place. I have a countdown going whenever the colder weather is starting to get warmer, bracing myself along the way waiting for Scoops to start the season. Okay, parking is not the greatest, but I have seen plently of people come and go in cars parking for only about 10 minutes on street parking. There is PLENTLY of street parking. And anyway this place is a great spot for locals that want to go out for a leisure walk during the warm summer nights and finish off with delicious ice-cream. They have tons of ice-cream flavors, on top of milkshakes, gelato, water-ice and probably more things I can not remember. I can sum up Scoops in one word - amazing. The staff is always very nice and accommodating, and the ice cream is so good. Their version of a blizzard is pretty damn good, and I love trying new combos of stuff to put in my ice cream. The pricing is great and very reasonable. You can always tell a good place by how long the line is, and sometimes the line for ice cream here goes all the way to the street!! Was visiting Plymouth Meeting from out of town, found this place with outstanding reviews! Quick 10 min drive (if that), to Scoops. Wonderfully delicious hand dipped ice cream (coffee was my favorite). After talking with the owner, you can tell his passion for his work! Even though it was a rainy night there were some lovely people that were local to the area choosing their favorite flavors. Fantastic customer service, great location easy to get to, but most of all scrumptious ice cream!
