We Hold These Truths To Be Self Evident, That All Rita's Are Not Created Equal:…read more I visited this Rita's with my sister and we waited in line for 15- 20 minutes for a soft serve cone and a "soft" pretzel. When we finally approached the window, we experienced one of the employees stopping filling an order to talk to a co-worker...he literally stopped mid peanutbutter pump. I was really excited for my soft pretzel until I got it and felt it was pretty hard. Still excited for a nice pretzel, I crunched into it only to find it tasted stale and freezer burnt. There was no hiding it had been frozen for a while... like out of the iceberg with Avatar Aang...frozen. I was surprised because Rita's always advertises their water ice for its freshness. The best part of my experience here was empathizing with the fellow Yelp reviewers who validated my concerns about this Rita's. Check my profile, I hardly ever leave bad reviews, but this experience was awful.

Luckily, it's also an awesome shop with a great product. They serve what most folks call caramel corn - they instead refer to it as Toffee Popcorn. They could call it anything they want and I'd shell out money for it. Their toffee popcorn is absolutely delicious and somewhat unique to the category. Not the stuff you got giant bags of on the boardwalk as a kid. Much more depth of flavor, and a more refined product. Various mixed in ingredients include almonds, pistachios, white chocolate, etc, and my personal favorite CAYENNE Cashew! Go to MoJos and try the spicy popcorn, it's got great sweet and salty flavor upfront with a nice slow heat as you keep eating. Popcorn is available is various sizes and they often have some that is nice and warm! They also serve gelato, coffee, and other beverages. Gelato is currently sourced from a small artisan maker. Also a very quality, delicious product. We had the chocolate (very rich and dark) and he sea salt caramel.
