The food quality should be at least 4 stars but I am giving a two-star rating due to JUST ONE Employee. I continue to go here because it is the closest location to my house and I like the food. The girl that usually runs the register is the sweetest, nicest person in the world and deserves a raise!! The guy, however, needs to be demoted to picking up supplies only or cleaning. Every time I have gone to this location and he is working my order is wrong. Normally, he puts onions on my burgers when I order no onions. Today, I went there and ordered. Another family was eating at a table and I thought "Okay, they are one of the locations that can eat in now." We sat at a table with four chairs down. I ordered a combo no onions with fries and my husband ordered a combo with onion rings. He repeated it back correctly. The order was given by calling my husband's name. We received it in a paper bag which I thought nothing about due to the new COVID procedures. We opened the bag and my husband notices no fries and two baskets of onions. I immediately check my burger to see if there are onions on it as well. The guy who normally works in the back who took our order YELLS across the dining room "(My husband's Name) You can't eat in here you have to take it out!" I replied, shocked at the unprofessional behavior " That's okay you F*&Ked up our order anyway!" He continued to yell across the room, even though my husband was walking back up to the counter to calmly talk to him, claiming he read back the order with two onion rings. I told him "YOU read back the order with fries" Seriously, why would a person who orders NO ONIONS on a burger ORDER ONION RINGS as a side?! Like I said this guy consistently messes up my orders. I am beginning to think he enjoys doing it. Even the girl that works the front counter doesn't like onions and orders her sandwiches without. I should just stop trying to go to this location and drive out of my way to the Sparks location. read more

This location is not good to me personally can't believe how much of a difference there is between the 2. The sizes are even smaller I ordered a soda float and got flat soda & a little bit of ice cream, I've been going to the 1 in Sparks since a child & that is where I will continue to go. I used to think they had the best milkshakes hands down but I must've remembered incorrectly because it was very fake tasting , as in the artificial flavoring paired with soft serve "ice cream" was just not convincing as a milkshake. About as bad as McDonald's shakes. read more

This location just makes me sad. Everytime we have gone here there's always something wrong with the order. I feel like their customer service is just lacking. The past three times we've gone there they put tomatoes even when I asked for them not to be. We went this past Friday night and the guy even argued with me about it. I absolutely love both locations, and was really bummed when their mill street location closed a few years ago. The food itself is phenomenal, (the Matterhorn being a personal favorite of mine) and they easily have the highest quality and widest selection of milkshakes in any restaurant I've ever been to in the Reno/Sparks area. The staff is extremely personable and go out of their way to ask you about your day as you order, as well as inquire about if you enjoyed your meal. You don't get that kind of service at any corporate chain, period. I honestly hate this place. By boyfriend likes it so we come here sometimes. They use an UNBELIEVABLE amount of styrofoam...like who is still using that garbage?! People who don't care... ‍ anyway...My boyfriend had a craving so he went, and as always I'm left disappointed. If you like very basic, half assed food...eat here. Just don't order their "French dip". EVERYONE WHO HAS EVER EATEN A FRENCH DIP KNOWS IT INCLUDES HORSE RADISH AND GRILLED ONIONS. This is just unflavored gray meat on a soggy bun. After being recommended to this place by many people it was definitely on my radar of places to try. I got a burger, shake, and fries so I could experience a bit of what was already an extensive menu. My burger was very mediocre and sadly that was the best part of what I got. I've had better fries at a school cafeteria and even then the fries there were at least flavored more there then the ones at Scoopers. Finally, what I thought was going to be the best part of the 3 things I ordered, turned out to be the worst. I ordered a peach shake which tasted artificial to the point where you could taste more of the artificial flavor then the intended flavor of the shake. There's a reason the menu is so big here and it's because quantity over quality is this place's goal. I wanted this place to be good, but lack of quality overshadowed what should have been a great place to eat. My first impression of Scoopers was fairly decent. I was having an ice cream/milkshake craving so I decided to try it out for the first time. The menu options are impressive, and it seems like the kind of joint that would be great for birthday parties, after (fill-in-the-sport) games, or getting your comfort food fix in general. The selection of milkshake flavors is what drew me in initially. There's plenty of seating room in here, and with only a handful of other tables occupied during my visit, my shake and onion rings were out in a reasonable amount of time (around 5 minutes). I got the medium cookie dough shake & medium order of onion rings. I'm not sure how big the 'small' size of onion rings is, but the medium only had about 8, and they were small at that. I guess I was hoping for a bit better quality, like good-sized beer-battered type onion rings...but what I got was vaguely a step up from what I could have gotten at Burger King. Probably won't get again, but will give other menu items a try. The milkshake was a good size, but quite thick and hard to 'drink,' regardless of the cookie dough chunks. I'll be back to try more items and give them another shot. read more

The Store front Scoopers is ok, it's just as good as the one in Sparks. First the drive in sparks gives you the feel of tradition while the store front one is in a strip mall, second the people in sparks seemed to enjoy working there, while the staff at this location are short and not as friendly, and sometimes just rude.......... The burgers are okay. The cashier, short woman with short blonde hair was incredibly rude. She should be fired.

We weren't acknowledged to place our order, even though no one was in line in front of us, when we finally were able to place our order the gentleman was rude and acted as if we were bothering him. When we received our order it was wrong, we were missing 2 items, we walked up and simply said we didn't receive these items, we were told they would bring them over right a way, 25 mins later we still didn't receive our food. Go to the scoopers in sparks. Trust me it's worth the drive. Went to this location the other night and did not have a pleasant experience. We ordered 2 cheeseburgers with fries and shakes. I asked to have no pickles on one and yet they still put pickles, plus the burgers weren't cooked all the way through. We were the only 2 people in there so i dont understand why they couldnt make our food correctly. The shakes had barely any flavoring and tasted more like vanilla ice cream then the butter finger and pumpkin flavoring we ordered. When we asked if they could add more the lady rudely claimed that she put in as much as she could. I think that if a customer is unsatisfied with their order they should fix the problem. Never going here again. Worth the gas and time to go to the sparks location where I get great service and food everytime. read more

I've haven't yet had the pleasure of trying their food, but the shakes are awesome. Real ice cream, no chemical flavors added (yeah, I'm looking at you Sonic, with your squirt of neon-green mint flavoring). I tried the mint chocolate chip milkshake and added Oreos. They put a whole Oreo on top. They blended Oreos throughout. The chocolate chips were chunky. It was fat girl heaven (I can say that as I jiggle when I wiggle). I can't wait to try more. read more

so, scoopers has led the best milkshakes in reno contest for how many years now? yeah man - if you like vanilla! try this - have someone order you a mikshake without telling you what flavor it is (ignore the color - it's misleading). what do you taste? peach = vanilla; blackberry = vanila; cheesecake = vanilla (maybe these 2 flavors are too close to notice a difference); strawberry = vanilla (how do you screw up a strawberry mikshake?!); mint chocolate chip (i ordered this for my daughter without her knowing what it was - she guessed chocolate chip - you could taste those chocolate morsels, but mint? yeah, you guessed it...)... and i could go on. same thing for their swirl ice cream cones - i've had lemon, peach, & cherry - i think i got a tingle of cherry flavor on the tip of my tongue. same at both locations - i guess it's it's a prefab formula... so yeah, best vanilla (i guess, haven't tried vanilla elsewhere) milkshakes in reno.. read more

I love Scoopers in Sparks. The food is always good. I tried the one in Reno for the first time today. It is not as great as I had hoped. Mediocre at best. We decided to try Scoopers because we love good milkshakes. We didn't realize what an extensive menu the restaurant had! Tacos, burritos, blt's, hot dogs, pastrami, and of course tons of burgers! We enjoyed one of their smaller burgers and were quite impressed!! Juicy, tasty, not too much shredded lettuce (a real pet peeve of mine--tons of shredded lettuce to make the burger look thicker) at a decent price! Then there was the milkshake! When they said they were thick--they weren't kidding! You HAVE to start the shake with a spoon, and it was really REALLY good. Nice creamy ice cream loaded with Oreo cookie pieces as well as full cookie on top! My husband decided to try a hot fudge shake (difficult to find let alone do right!) and he said it was perfect! The best part of our experience at the Kietzke lane location was our order taker Sally. She took her time to tell us about the restaurant, the specials they offer as well as loyalty programs they have! She was terrific, fun, and definitely made me want to return, and I can't wait until we can!! read more
