I suddenly would get a text saying that they have cancelled my appointment and I should reschedule. 3 different times the same story!!!! They're booked when those appointments were available when I booked them. I talked to an Asian woman that sounded like she's 18 years old and clueless and takes 15 minutes to say practically nothing on the phone, just words with no meaning whatsoever. It was a little too short to style. Make sure to confirm for your fade you want a zero or skin because I thought that was communicated but I didn't feel like it was to that level. The barber took his time and was about a 30 minute haircut. Hard to say but maybe not the best for Asian hair and the price was pretty steep being that it's in the city. The three strikes that ended it for me, despite being so conveniently located. 1) My go-to barber said they didn't want to work with me, b/c they were too stressed after cutting my hair before a major event I was going to. There was too much pressure to make it just right before a big day LOL ... talk about soft and weird honestly. 2) Disrespectful customer service and hidden fees ... People's Barber are extremely strict about protecting their time - fining people if you're 10 min late. But with customers anything goes. I showed up at 10am on a Sat. They told me at 10:20 that they're over booked and next available slot is 11. So fine, I came back at 11, my cut starts at 11:15 and goes till 12. Then b/c the barber used scissors instead of a shaver that I booked, which took 45 min, the receptionists charged me extra b/c it took too long. I told him I didn't ask for or order the scissor cut, the barber just did it. The receptionist said, "well that's what you got so it's more now." like WTF guys. 3) Haircuts have deteriorated. I actually had scabbing on my neck when one barber used the shaver to make a sharp trim line. I unfortunately didn't save a picture so I can't post. But end of the day, they guys ran off 5 year regular... just annoying.
