James Meadows was my first call shortly after receiving my ticket. He promptly responded to my inquiry, provided me an upfront price, gave me a straightforward way to pay, and explained to me what he can, cannot do and what to potentially expect and not expect. His communication is clear and concise. His level of professionalism and integrity is phenomenal, at least in my experience. He went above and beyond while trying to do everything in his ability to get my tickets dismissed however, he was not able to do so not because of anything he did or didn't do but just because NYC does not plead tickets down and 99.9 % of the time the police officers show up in addition to their verbal deposition there's also the body cam footage and other evidence that is very hard and difficult to get thrown out. Despite a partial negative outcome, he was able to secure a warning from the judge instead of a suspension in addition to the points, which is my eyes is a good outcome thanks to James! Although it's not the outcome I wanted, it's a reasonable one that I am content with. If I ever get cited for any other traffic infraction in the future, he will for sure be my first call again. The moral of the story is do not break traffic laws, but if you do call James because he and his team will do everything reasonable in their ability to secure the best positive outcome possible. It's easy to go thru every detail as my case took over a year to finally end in probation, but i will say that David predicted the outcome very early on. He knows everyone in court and is well liked, he showed up every time and communicated any absence during court negotiations thru his friendly staff. My situation got a little sticky in the end with dates and times as i had to serve 1 day in jail to complete the sentence, David was like a concerned parent and seemed to ride out the day tracking my status and even contacting people who were running my business. I received a police summons to the 62th precinct because a tall 14 year old teenager accused me of pushing in down on the ground and threatening his life after failing to pick up his dog dropping several times in front of my house. I learned that it was best to hire an attorney to go talk to the police on your behalf to avoid self-incrimination and to avoid the central booking process. Michael represented me from the beginning of this case to the very end. He talked to the police detective and got me a desk appearance ticket instead of me having to sit in a jail cell for central booking for weeks. After the arraignment, the original plea deal called for an assault in the 3rd degree conviction, 20 days of community service, and 5 conflict resolution classes. Michael is persistent and would never take the first deal which would have left me with a criminal record and a rap sheet. After a few adjournments, Michael talked to the district attorney and convinced him to dismiss all the criminal charges and reduce the sentencing down to a disorderly conduct violation, a $175 fine that goes with the violation, 5 days of community service, and one conflict resolution class. Michael is honest, knows the best course of action to take, and puts his clients first over making money. Instead of taking an expensive attorney fee for trial which would have had bad results due to the fact that a 14 year old is involved and the DA could use this angle to give me a worse sentence, Michael advised me to take the deal he made because the deal produced a better outcome than the sentencing that have happened at a trial with a jury which would have favored the 14 year old. Overall, I am pleased with Michael and would highly recommend his legal services to anyone charged with a crime or in search of legal representation. I would call him again in case I get into another legal bind.
