We needed a headstone for my parent's grave. we showed up without an appointment and the lady was very helpful and kind. she set us an appointment to come back when the owner was available to go over all our needs. When we came back for our appointment, the owner was very considerate and professional. he was kind and considerate of our needs. he worked to get us just what we needed. My mother requested to have the headstone installed before Father's Day and he didn't promise it would be done, but he did say he would try to make it happen. The stone was in fact installed before Father's Day and it was exactly what we had hoped it would be. I cannot say enough about how kind and helpful everyone was at Schultz, from the lady that greeted us all the way to the fellow that installed the stone. While I had some hiccups with this company. I do recommend them. Just be warned, they have no control over when the product gets to them. I was told 5-7 months when it actually took 9 months. I want them to be more diligent on customer service. I realize the pandemic has put strain on products and timelines. However, it doesn't cost anything to call the customer to tell them what's happening when weeks have gone by their prediction date. Only after I called twice did the product get there. Then, I was told another 6 weeks to finish the stone work. Only to have to call again to see when it would be placed because it was over 6 weeks. When the product was finally ready. I was given the wrong setup date. Only, after I called again did they select another date. These headaches for both the customer and the consumer could have easily been avoided. More communication between the two could have easily prevented the stress. They did a very professional job setting the tombstone. read more

I have tempted several times to reach out to this company. I do not recommend them. They are not confident in what they have they do not have a office the lady insist on the phone to handle this she is very confused. I guess my spouse will never have a headstone. If I am not going through enough for this to happen to me. Ordering a headstone on the phone is not how you do it. I have never done one I guess I will never do one. read more

I am so disappointed with the communication I've received from this company. I visited back in November 2020. And paid IN FULL for a head stone for my grandparents. I noted my contact info and reiterated my email address several times. They still emailed the wrong address. I contacted them over a month later to check in, as I knew there were delayed due to Covid and Richard was very rude. And said " I emailed you and you didn't respond, so I didn't call." And didn't own the mishap or lack of even a simple phone call. I never received the email because THEY wrote it down wrong. Here we are months later and still no email response or courtesy call. I was told February would be the "absolute latest" and I would be informed. I'm attempting to plan a dedication service and have been so disappointed in this process and furious this that I've spent over 1k and can't even get a call. I'm assuming an in person visit or attorney call will be the only way to get a follow up. read more

Richard just installed a marker for my daughter and this was the second time I have bought from him and there is no one else I would even consider getting a maker from. He told me at the beginning to take my time and make sure I was happy with my choice because I would be looking at it for a long time, so there was no pressure on his part. I cannot express enough appreciation and gratitude for the not only the work that was done but the outstanding customer service that Richard Schultz of Schultz Monument company provided to me when one of my dearest friends passed away. Richard took the time to sit down and work with me to design a marker that I not only liked, but one that exemplified the personality of my friend Jeff who had passed away. Jeff was a huge lifelong fan of Alabama football and of Atlanta Braves baseball. We decided to incorporate both of these team's logos on the marker. When it came time to design the marker, Richard was great about not only designing it is such a way that looked really nice, he worked with me to guide me on how to get approvals from both the University of Alabama and the Atlanta Braves to use their logos on this marker. Once their approval was in place, Richard proceeded to move ahead on the production of the marker. Once in place at the cemetery, the feedback I received from many of Jeff's friends was overwhelmingly positive! They (and I) loved it! And I know Jeff would be extremely pleased and I know that I certainly was and continue to be every time I visit the cemetery. I contacted Schultz Monument Co, to get a monument made for my husband. I spoke with Richard Schultz directly, and I have nothing put positive comments about him and his company. Mr. Schultz was wonderful at guiding me through an understandably difficult process. He took his time out to make changes to the monument, made excellent recommendations and kept me updated on each stage of the process from drafting to stone cutting to placement. He's wonderful at returning phone calls. He catered well to my needs, as well as special requests I made. I live out of state and I appreciate him sending me photos of my husband's monument once he placed it. The craftsmanship and quality of the monument is superb. The process from order to placement took a few months but bear in mind these monuments are cut to order a quarry, not prefabricated laying around.
