We asked if they would offer the spot to a family who couldn't afford their new rates but they were not interested. So frustrating. We are not looking to do anything other than offer a grieving family a double crypt at a fraction of what they are currently charging. If you know of a family who would possibly be interested, please have them go to FB Marketplace in Follansbee, WV and research Mausoleum- Highland Hills. I'm assuming our information will pop up for your/their consideration.

Kristen and her husband, Mike, at Wheeler Funeral Homes in Mingo Jct. and Brilliant, OH, are simply the way to go. My family had a terrible experience with the services provided by the William G Neal Funeral Home…read moreat 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA. The staff lacked professionalism, organization, and the presentation of my sister's body was grotesque. I no longer trust this establishment, nor will I ever recommend their services. My sister's face was very badly distorted, too much cotton or fillers were used, she appeared angry, her head was tilted down and barely on the pillow. There was foundation on her face, but no blush or color on her cheeks. Her arms were at the side of her body, but extended unnecessarily touching the edges of the casket. Makeup on her hands extended about 4 inches unevenly up the wrist, very pink in color, and contrasted very sharply with her tan arms. The professionalism of the staff was appalling. When the funeral home was notified, the individuals who answered the call did not listen attentively to the responses given and repeated questions, while abruptly interrupting and shutting down the responses given. An employee, holding the door, motioned his hand to 2 young ladies entering the building and said, "Hurry up! I'm holding the door for you." However, the staff did not open the door for many visitors. It was necessary to request seating for several individuals standing for the service. Arranging the funeral procession to the cemetery was a display of disorganized buffoonery. The employees at Neals have always been very courteous, and anticipated the needs of the family. In August 2022 a new partnership with Rollings Funeral Services was established, unfortunately, it does not provide the service we have been accustomed to and expect from Neal's. When you are faced with a difficult situation such as the death of a loved one, it can be extremely emotional and stressful. You want to be able to trust the professionals at the funeral home to provide you with the care and service of your loved one.

I usually see peppermints and tissues strewn around most funeral home, but this place didn't seem to have them available. There is also no waiting/family/kitchen area on the main floor. Families usually need a place to have cookies, take a break, or drink coffee during sad times. When we arrived with coffee cakes for the family, the funeral director told us that there was no place for cakes here and that he would just shove them downstairs. I though that was a little weird. We also spent many hours making a video/collage that was to be shown on a television in the back because the funeral director told us over the phone that we couldn't make picture boards, but when we arrived at the funeral home, there were three huge picture boards. The funeral director then apparently tried to plug in our thumb drive and it suddenly didn't work with his system. He then just kept showing the same ten pictures sent in from a church on repeat. I thought this was also weird. The third thing that struck me odd about this funeral home was the rushed nature of the viewing and the lay-out. Have you ever seen people kneeling in front of a loved one at a viewing, only to be interrupted and tapped on the shoulder by a funeral director to "move along"? I never have. Our father also looked terrible for the viewing. It looked like they pulled all of his teeth out and suddenly his face was very narrow, which was quite unsettling to all, especially the children. I know that my wife's step-mother was in shock over a sudden death, and this may have just been the closest funeral home to her. I have never seen this type of unprofessional behavior in my life.

From the very start the staff at Kepner made sure we were taken care of. -We live an hour and a half away, so they allowed us to make all of the arrangements without meeting in person. -They took care of everything: transporting the body, arranging military honours, making sure the obituary was printed, and even contacting the cemetery on our behalf. -Funerals and related services are expensive, but Kepner staff never tried to sell or upsell. When we changed our mind about purchasing an item, they were understanding and exceptionally kind. -The staff worked hard to helpful without being intrusive. We felt supported without feeling overrun. -We were offered guidance when we requested it, but when we didn't, we were allowed to set things up in the way that best worked for us. The freedom allowed us to work within the bounds of our grief and beliefs. -I know it seems small, but due to an illness that doesn't allow me to regulate heat/cold very well (I don't sweat, for instance), I became very warm. The staff adjusted the temperature settings without hesitation. I became comfortable and could focus on the service. -This is the 3rd service I've experienced at Kepner, though the 1st I've been involved in organizing. The quality and compassion are consistently high. We have even had a beloved pet cremated through Kepner, and that, too, was an experience of the same caliber. We are very thankful for the care, respect, and compassion shown to my father-in-law, to us, and to those who came for the service. It was a hard time made easier by people who really cared.

This is the funeral home my parents chose, they passed 10 years apart…read more When my mother passed, everything seemed to be going smoothly with the arrangements. They are nice people. When the obituary came out, the wrong donation foundation was listed. Some random foundation received donations. My mother looked beautiful at the viewing, makeup and hair were perfect. However, very noticeable was the fact they did not put the bra I gave them on my big busted mother. She would have been mortified! Too late to rectify that at the showing. When my father passed, the employee handling the arrangements kept saying is how he was retiring soon and all the plans he had. When the obituary came out, they failed to acknowledge that he was a veteran. I stressed this at our meeting, it was a very important aspect. Names in the obit were not listed correctly. My father was cremated, we informed that the cremains may not make it back in the 2 days until the service. Thankfully, they did. These were 2 different employees 10 years apart, not satisfied by either.

One of the reasons I chose them for the professional courtesy I needed was the fact that they are a family run establishment. I started my career in a Family run mortuary (5 generations) in San Francisco where I worked for over 13 years. Still going strong now, 18 years and counting with another reputable funeral home/Cemetery combo in the Bay Area. But the best thing that ever happen to me to jump start my career as a knowledgeable funeral director /embalmer was getting my start in a family run funeral home. Even though I was not part of the family, they took me under their wing. Learned from the best in the business, a family of morticians that have been doing it for over 130 years the right way. Glad I reached out to Warco Falvo funeral home and was not disappointed at all when funeral director Tim Warco Jr. answered my call and took care of the situation I was in. Tim Jr. made me feel confident that he would do what he told he was going to do. Never had any doubt that he was going to get it done right. There is a lot of good to say about the Warco Falvo Families in Washington, PA. The same level of courtesy and professionalism that I was used to when I was at a family run mortuary in San Francisco was clearly evident. Thank you Tim Jr. for your help. You are highly recommended from one colleague to another colleague from two different parts of our great country! Glad there are professionals like you in our Death care profession. Take care of your family and each other in Washington, PA. Warm regards, Gus R. FD

I would not reccommend any person of color to use this Mortuary…read more I had the worst experience. Coming from out of state to plan a homegoing celebration for my aunt. The first thing I was met with was "Is there any Insurance?" How are you going to pay for this? I had only been in town for a couple of hours, not enough time to look for any paperwork. I wasnt shown a pricelist or offered condolences. While waiting for other relatives to arrive I was called several times (6) in the same day to inquire about the money for the service. The director was very rude, three a tantrum when asked if we could see a pricelist, quoted the law but couldnt produce it in writing, didnt allow us to give any input on the preparation of the body. We wanted our own hairdresser who was experienced to do her hair, she didnt wear make up but she looked artificial when we saw her. We werent allowed to view the body beforehand, we had to wait until the remains were put in the church an hour before services. I tried to speak to Mr Warco(Sr) at the church and he literally yelled and screamed that He had nothing to say to me because I upset his staff the day before by asking to view the body.I woildnt reccommend them to anyone.
