Hackstudio is one of the coolest after school programs I have ever experienced. In the program,…read morechildren pick their own goal and work through the process to accomplish their own "definition of done." Hackstudio teaches resilience, persistence, and teamwork. My most favorite thing about it is that my child said "Mom, it's a judgment free zone." How amazing to have a creative space with amazing adult mentors who create a supportive environment where children PRACTICE EMPATHY through doing -- not just talking about it. I highly recommend Hackstudio -- we love it!

SO much more than just a place for kids to 'make things' (although with the amazing facilities that includes a professional looking wood shop, craft supplies, various computer technology and lots of interesting spaces to dream, create and build- there's a great chance your kids will be making some cool stuff) it's more of an incubator for young people to learn how to support and be supported in their own personal paths. Kids are grouped roughly by age, and then work alongside adult mentors who help guide them through their projects or 'quests'. It's a really neat program and our child who is on the timid/shy side has really blossomed in this class that supports her love of creativity and learning while boosting her self esteem. She adores this class and the friends she's made there and can't wait to go every week. I highly recommend- and if you are interested in joining make sure you speak with the staff who can better explain the awesome ideas at play here- it's so much more than just a place to make things! A+++

I highly DO NOT recommend this photographer. I have had the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER with her. She is…read moreirresponsible and very unprofessional. Last November, I purchased 2 photography sessions that she was offering during a Black Friday Special. After seeing another photographer that I worked with in the past had her family portraits done by Little Click Photography. Her portraits came out beautiful and I figured she was legit and after some brief communication with her. I decided to purchase a full family and 1:1 mentoring session that was a total of $925. My mistake for doing that. Due to the pandemic, I waited until July to schedule my family's photoshoot with Daniela. I figured I should book early for a fall session. I emailed her to book my photoshoot and never received a response. I emailed 2 weeks later with no response. After the 3rd attempt, I finally reached out to her (via text) to tell me she was having email issues. Ok, no problem, things happen. I finally wanted to book my session, once again, there were email issues and delayed responses. I was leaving out of town and was trying to book this session before I left. By the time I finally booked my session, it was at the beginning of September, and we set a date for Sept 20th. When we confirmed the date, she said she was going to send me the time, location, and style guide. Needless to say, she never sent me any information. I emailed her twice to request this information, and once again, no response. Since I hadn't heard from her, I assumed that she wasn't planning to do my photo shoot. The day before my scheduled photoshoot, I happened to be on social media, and saw that she was looking to book 2 last-minute photoshoots on the day I was scheduled to have my family's photoshoot. She prefaced her message that, "Sorry I have been busy and haven't responded to messages. "I been busy, but I will respond in between clients if you want to book a last-minute session. So apparently, she is being selective on whom she chooses to respond to or simply ignore. Based on the responses, she was able to book one of the sessions. My photoshoot must have been an afterthought, since she decided to email me the night before almost at 9 pm to ask me if I received her confirmation for our photoshoot and sent me her style guide. Once again, saying she is having glitches with her website. I was baffled, she knew that she didn't send me any info, and not sure if she thought I can miraculously put together my family of five outfits together for the next day on short notice. Sorry, I'm not the fairy godmother. Past photographers that I have worked with will always follow-up to confirm photoshoot days before your photoshoot and assist with coordinating outfits. Apparently, not this photographer!? I guess my expectations fell short with this photographer. At this point, I was pretty fed up with the lack of communication and unprofessionalism from her that I requested my refund of $925. Due to the inconvenience, I did not want to risk this happening again. I researched another photographer and paid an additional $500 to book another photographer. On Sept 20th, she agreed to give me a refund and would send it via paypal. I messaged her 2 weeks later, since I never received my refund, and she said she processed the refund and would follow-up. Surprise! Surprise... she never did! I waited another 2 weeks to give her the benefit of the doubt, considering it may take 30 days to process. Nope, no refund. Shame on me for being nice and giving people chances. I messaged her again & requested for her to send me information on my refund that she supposedly processed and got no response from her. I even sent her a payment request & received nothing. Now she has pretty much ghosted me and owes me $925. I requested this refund on Sept 20th & here we are now... Out $925. Now, I have to file a dispute with my credit card to attempt to get my money back, since she thinks it's ok to keep my money for a service that she NEVER provided. I made several attempts to allow her the opportunity to make this right, and end this amicably, but due to her lack of communication and professionalism, she left me no choice but to leave this review which she rightfully deserves. She apparently doesn't care about her reputation, business, nor her clients. MORALE OF THE STORY...Do yourself the favor and avoid the headache & do not make the same mistake I did to buy pre-packages from this photographer or book her, unless you want to deal with this nightmare of a photographer & get ripped off! There are a lot of great photographers out there who are looking to keep their clients and business, especially during these trying times, but certainly not this one.
