I love ice cream and tried this place upon the recommendation of many friends. I sampled several of their flavors before settling on banana pudding. It was hard to chose a flavor when they were ALL delicious. The banana pudding ice cream is the best I have ever tasted. It was creamy and you could taste the vanilla wafer cookies mixed with smooth and creamy banana ice cream. Since I'm on a diet I have tried to stay away from this place but I had to return for more. I have had their chai tea chocolate chip ice cream and their speculoos ice cream and I am never disappointed. The staff is nice and helpful and you can never go wrong with any flavor you choose. The ice cream is so good! I've been here a couple of times and I've tried the Blonde Moment, Coffee Toffee, Milk and Cookies and Brown Butter Pecan. They're all so good! You can tell it's homemade ice cream made with fresh ingredients. On my last visit I had my ice cream in a waffle cone and it was the freshest cone I've ever had! I think I tasted cinnamon in the batter-so yummy! The staff is always friendly and the store is clean with a fair amount of tables and chairs. I'll definitely go again! read more

So I went to this ice cream shop everyone's talking about... And I kid you not, did I have some of the best ice cream ever. Great owner! You can tell he has passion for his craft. I tried a few flavors, but the winner was "Jalapeno Lime." It was different. Not spicy, yet you can taste the jalapeño without pain ; ) I highly recommended it. read more

The bad news, Schoolhouse Creamery (Sunshine location) is closed. The good news, Schoolhouse creamery Stuart place Rd is still open! We have never been to that location, but rest assured that we will check it out on our next trip to Harlingen. read more
