Update: this has nothing to do directly with the review but I took the car to a professional car…read moredetailer and they looked at the scratch and confirmed none of it went all the way down to the base color. They were able to polish it out on the spot. This business understands their customers. It took the guy five minutes. At the end, he says there's no need to pay him when I ask how much. I tried to insist but he's like "I can't bill you for five minutes of my time...it's on me...have a good day!" Customer for life now!!! I struggle to leave even two stars for this gas station. Unfortunately I've had great experiences here with the staff (very polite and nice) until I had a very poor experience with the manager. Hence the two stars are purely for the employees here who were always attentive and nice. The manager unfortunately soured my experience completely. Yesterday, I went with my brand new car to use the car wash. I had seen lots of people I know use it as I live in the area. I figured "what can go wrong" having otherwise avoided these automated car washes.....you see reports on TV all the time about how they scratch up cars and ruin paint jobs. I thought maybe those issues have been remedied in years past and I can forego any worries. My BAD and definitely a mistake on my part! As I'm watching my car get washed, I literally see a scratch being pulled into the front right wheel fender. I wish I could of stopped the thing but the damage was already done. Best part is, I had as a witness the guy who was standing behind me in line waiting for his turn. Anyway, my thought was to basically say to myself 'see, that's what you get for using these damn car washes....you knew better!" To help any others who came after I decided to go to the manager and just say "look, your car wash scratched my car...do something so no one else gets screwed!" I wasn't even going to otherwise make a big deal and would take care of repairing myself. What does the owner do though? He adamantly swears his wash didn't inflict the damage...don't forget what I said before....the car is brand new and this was the first wash. It was spotless before (I'm quite anal and just happen to know this!) Anyway, he is all adamant about how his car wash didn't do this and there is no way he is responsible, etc. Lucky me the guy behind me in line was a lawyer and basically walks up up to me and tells me what you can do in such a situation. Without much further detail...what was initially going to simply be a word of caution to the owner to make sure others don't get screwed is now a sour taste in my mouth, leading to a review here and a case which my lawyer will take to court if necessary. Long story short...be advised that this car wash can and may scratch your car....and fairly significantly. You may luck out or you may not....that is a risk you will take. Again, the employees here are awesome and I've always enjoyed interacting with them. The owner on the other hand could of just been a good businessman and taken my word of caution to heart. Instead he decided to try to deflect responsibility and now basically will have legal repercussions because of it....regardless of outcome. I really do question why it would be worth the hassle to him but that was his choice and his way of doing business. Keep this in mind as well when doing business with this gas station.
