    Wedding Flowers
    Good G.

Called from Florida to order a handheld bouquet for one of my closest friends who is doing a renaissance style commitment ceremony in the woods. Schneider's Created a beautiful bouquet of dark red roses and ferns that look just beautiful for the bride in her gown and cape

What a joke of a Florist. My mom ordered flowers for my daughter. They were not delivered. Then Aaron and Kathy were rude to my mom when she went in to ask about what the issue could be. Especially Aaron kept running his mouth and being rude after Kathy told him to shut up. Idk how this florist stays in business. Idk how Aaron still has a job. Never use them. What a crappy florist.

    The Yelpiest flower arrangement EVER!!!

I'm always, and forever will be, attracted to locally owned establishments. This flower shop has been run by the same Springfield born and raised family for the last several decades. I was graced to meet Aaron (the son) three or so years ago, via Yelp. He and his wife have moved back to Sf to start transitioning in to keep the gears turning, as his mom and dad enjoy there retirement years. I'll start with the actual building housing this flowertopia. The outside is painted a vibrant lime green with a dark maroon purple trim - anything that catches my eye so immediately is a winner in my book :) Walking in the door, to your right, is a curving staircase. Aaron showed us old photos of this building. This space was originally built to house a gentleman's flower business, and upstairs was his living quarters. Impressive! The different rooms have since been converted to serve more practical purposes (ie, an office, storage room, walk-in flower cooler). At any rate, Aaron's family has done a wonderful job preserving the uniqueness of this shop! At the "front" of house, a giant square-pane glass window lets in enormous sunlight and opens the space to the max. They have a corner area designated for Marie's Candies - a local chocolatier, produced and sold in Springfield! Good golly, the chocolate is unbelievably creamy. The peanut butter squares covered in chocolate are hands-down exquisite!! Sheer bliss. I'm ready to drive back to Springfield, just for a rose and candies FOR MYSELF ;p

Custom fitted men's formal wear is the main order of the day at this retailer. And they do an excellent job fitting. Items are available for purchase as well as rental. Recently a group of my colleagues and I needed specialized formal wear with tails, known as morning coats, for purchase. while online options are of course available, it is easier to get a quality custom fit in person. And this is the place that was recommended to us. I couldn't have been happier. Within the past couple of years, I also purchased a formal white dinner jacket from Romanoffs, and I have been very pleased with that selection too. Fittings are normally by appointment, and there is of course some turnaround time to prepare alterations, once fitted. It is important to think about and build this into your event schedule if you are purchasing or renting something for an event. If you do need a fitting, or would like to visit, just give them a call. This is a very helpful, friendly place. I have always been pleased with my experiences here.

For our groomsmen's suits he suggested the groom wear all white (which looked great!). He did a good job measuring and was accommodating with fittings--we felt 100% confident with Aaron's professionalism and skillsets. I'd highly recommend. The suits looked so sharp, were high quality, and fit perfect!

Boy was I wrong. Price Stores is an affordable, yet very classy, men's clothing, bridal, and tuxedo rental business located in downtown Dayton. I am definitely glad I stopped in. On the first floor, Price has men's clothing, most specifically, suits, dress shirts, and ties. They also sell hats, including, of all things, Stetson hats. Who knew? On the upper two floors they have their bridal sales and tuxedo rentals (I forget which is on which floor). With the tuxedos, they have a nice selection, though it may be a little limited compared to a mail order situation. For example, I walked in foolishly planning to rent a jacket with a cutaway design, but their selection was slim in my size, and I looked terrible anyway. What Price offers that no other tuxedo store in Dayton OR Cincinnati seemed to offer was they stock their tuxedos on-site, whereas Men's Wearhouse and others mail order them in. This was a total relief to me, because it meant I knew, on my wedding day, that the tuxedo was absolutely going to fit. They also do adjustments on-site, and when I arrived the day before to pick up my tuxedo and the pants didn't fit, they too them back and 15 minutes later, viola!, they fit. The bridal store has a nice selection too. If my wife had known that they carried dresses, and so affordably, she probably would have stopped in there and looked before locking in at a different venue. As it was, she did purchase her tiara and veil at Price, beating out even eBay prices for veils and getting exactly what she wanted. Service, quality, variety, and in all other ways, Price Stores exceeded my expectations and contributed to making my wedding day a success. I will definitely be back in the future to take a look at suits, because I'm sure I need a new one.

Had such a sad experience today, and am still shaken up…read more This is a longer review, but with respect to the other associate, I want to make sure I'm clear with where the issues originated. We rented some beautiful pieces for our show this month, and Marianne was amazing in getting everything set up and ready for us. When returning most of the items, I made the mistake of returning a shirt to the wrong location, so I had to come back the next week to complete everything. I was ready to pay an extension fee, but she was kind and allowed for that margin. We had a dress and lace-up shirt to bring back as well. My mother dropped off the dress first, and was told sternly by Nancy there would be a $40 damage fee. I wasn't sure what that was for, so when I stopped by to drop off the lace up shirt, I asked. I have a new costume team, so if mistakes were made, I want to make sure they know where they must improve. I have no problem paying the fee- prices here are very fair- but something happened after I asked what the fee was for. Nancy stormed away without speaking a minute, planted at another counter, and then proceeded to tear into me, loud enough for the room full of customers to hear, and potentially even the adjacent room. I think she somehow concluded I was trying to get out of a fee, which upset her. Despite me trying to communicate that wasn't the case, not only did she stop listening but she threw insults. A few of Nancy's choice sentences: "You are so snooty" "Your energy is killing me" "Has anyone ever told you that before? It's true" "You sound so snippy" "Everything you say is so passive aggressive" -I replied I was being genuine, she said, "I don't believe you." "I have been doing this for 40 years so if there's an issue I know it's not me." "Blip blip blip blip" (mimicking me talking and cutting me off for asking where to drop off the final shirt this week) Even if I was trying to negotiate damages, you still shouldn't use public shaming as a tactic. The customer is not always right, but I do believe that standards of mutual respect should be held in all interactions. Marianne was kind, professional, helpful, and honestly made the magic of clothing and performance come alive for me and my cast that came with me. Nancy was hostile, insulting, aggressive, and never even created space for response. I do have the interaction recorded, so all details can be corroborated. I'm not the person to post it (public shaming is not my method) but I'm happy to share the recording with the owners for reflection. I do hope moving forward that a space where artists can create that much magic together can also be a space of safety, gentleness, and mutual respect.
