Service: the service was really good. The staff were attentive and helped me out with trying different flavors and even asked me if I was sitting in the restaurant or outside and routed me to the table to sit at Food: I got the dark chocolate sneakers and yogurt flavors in a cup. They were really good and my favorite was the yogurt all the weren't too sweet and hit the flavors pretty well it was very rich and creamy.

The menu has got a pretty huge selection; I'm a little sad I didn't get to go back to try more of their offerings! I ordered the spaghetti eis with sttawberries, which was really delicious and a generous size. It really did look a lot like spaghetti, especially with the white chocolate shavings made to look like parmesan! Service was pretty quick; we got our ice creams just a few minutes after ordering. We were able to easily split the bill (we paid with cash so I'm not sure what the card situation is). There were bathrooms as well and they were reasonably clean. A great place to stop by for a huge ice cream on a warm day! The spaghetti eis was delicious, and definitely worth a try if you've never had it before. All the desserts also make for great photos.

Eye catching is a good way to describe this place when you walk by. From the sidewalk you can look…read moreand see all the flavors they have to offer and can be served right on the street which is cool. The man working here was really nice. He loved the fact I was from America and let me try some flavors before I was ready to pick which ones I wanted. I only wanted 2 scoops of ice cream so choosing between flavors was tough until he gave me the third kind for free :). I knew I wanted Mocha because of my addiction to coffee. Then it was between Pistachio and Chocolate. I really like Pistachio ice cream because it takes me back to my childhood eating it with my mom on a nice summer day. But also can't really go wrong with chocolate, and I am a believer in looking at which ice cream is the most empty because that one is most of the time the favorite. So I choose Mocha and Pistachio and then he gave me chocolate for free. The mocha wasn't a strong coffee flavor but a good one, 4 stars. The Pistachio had a really good flavor and one of the best pistachio ice creams I have ever had so 5 stars. And the chocolate was very rich like a death by chocolate cake and I give it 4 stars. Will definitely go here again but maybe not until the summer when the sun is supposed to come out in Germany :). Now my second trip here wasn't as nice as my first because of the service but still had a 4 star experience. I had the Bacio and the Stracciatella. Both were very tasty and would recommend them both. This place is 2 for 2 with me :)

The variety of tastes is big enough, and so is the menu as well. Everybody can find something on his taste. Service is on spot, and really fast. Prices are adjusted for the neighbourhood, and not to downtown. In my opinion the best alternative Gelateria for downtown.

I love gelato. When I lived in Venice for a month, I was sometimes having gelato three times a day…read more It was out of control. So I've had my fair share of quality gelato. While this gelato shop is not in Italy, there are a good number of gelato shops in Germany. Dolce & Gelato was close by, so I stopped by for a pre-dinner treat. Service (1/5): This soured the experience big time. You can order at the counter or sit at one of the tables on the patio. There are also a few seats inside. There were no seats available on the patio, and while there are some inside, there's no A/C and it was June so that wasn't happening. They have a weird policy where you can only order gelato in a cone if you're ordering takeout. If you're sitting at a table, you can only order gelato in a cup. What the heck?! This makes no sense. I like my gelato in a cone, so I don't understand the weird policy. I always get annoyed by a lack of logic or reason. Ambiance (3/5): If there's a seat available on the patio or you're getting it to go, all is good. If you're sitting inside, I don't recommend it. No A/C and tight quarters. Drinks (N/A): I didn't order any drinks. Food (2.5/5): I went with the medium, which comes with two flavors. Amarena and watermelon (which I thought would be perfect and refreshing for the summer). Unfortunately, this gelato is not up to Italian standards. It was mediocre at best. It lacked the burst of flavor that you expect from some quality gelato. They have a nice selection of flavors, but they are lacking in the flavor department. Given the rest of the logistical hurdles, not worth it in my mind.

Before I could even finish collecting my change, the lady informs me, "This is for take away". She just couldn't wait to shoo me away before even knowing what my intentions were. It's gelato, for goodness sake. As a paying customer, what difference does it make where I choose to spend the less than five minutes it takes to consume something that doesn't involve any waiter service or bussing? Geez, no thanks lady. I'll be "taking away" my business and I won't be back.
