He was very patient through the legal process, explaining the law and our rights in such a way that it all made sense. Quincy was with us every step of the way through interrogatories, discovery, depositions, mediation, and finally on our day before the judge in December 2014. Not only did he provide exceptional legal counsel, but he was also there with support during what was an incredibly stressful time. He listened to everything we said and mapped a plan for success based on the most pertinent evidence that would fulfill the requirements of the law. He spoke with our witnesses at length so they would know what to expect during court; and in the days before our hearing, he took the time to make sure we were well prepared with what to expect as well. On the day of our hearing, he was incredibly prepared. He knew our case as it pertained to the law backward and forward. He gave emotional encouragement during what turned into a very long and mentally exhausting day, and during the hearing he presented cases to the judge that set precedence for the matter at hand. When all the evidence had been presented, when all the witnesses had been heard, and when closing arguments were all said and done, the end of the day brought closure and security for our family in an ordeal that had lasted way too long. In the end, Quincy helped us win the adoption - the judge ruled the evidence "clear and convincing" - and our son is safe. Not only was Quincy completely professional, but he was personal, too. We felt like we mattered to him as people, not just as another client paying a bill. When he heard the specifics of our case, he genuinely wanted to help. I think that's pretty rare in an attorney but we found it refreshing and very reassuring. Quincy McKinney is definitely one of the good ones! My only regret is that we didn't find him sooner! Also, the ladies in the office were a dream to work with - they took every bit of paper evidence we provided (there was a LOT!) and organized it to create a succinct timeline of events. Katie and Kate are very kind and friendly. No matter what kind of situation you are going through, or how many questions you might have, they are always willing to help. We will be using McKinney and McKinney again when it's time to draft our Will, and if we ever know of someone who needs a brilliant, compassionate attorney, we will be recommending Quincy McKinney!

Unfortunately I had to hire an attorney which is stressful in it's own way. David Parker from the…read morefirm represented me for my case. I literally sat back and let him take the reigns. He was more than knowledgeable about the law and the procedures of court. I can go on and on. I do recommend him. I also will always have his number saved in my phone. And yes. Every penny was worth it! All charges were dismissed! Beyond satisfied!

WARNING: UNACCEPTABLE PROCEDURAL FAILURES AND CASE DISMISSAL…read more I hired Catherine Ryan for a serious invasion of privacy case. The matter was handled on a contingency basis at the circuit court level, where it was dismissed, and I subsequently paid an additional $10,000 flat fee for the appeal. The Arkansas Court of Appeals affirmed the complete dismissal of my case (Case No. CV-24-749) due to basic filing negligence.According to the arguments cited in the appellate ruling, 'Alexander failed to attach to his complaint the documentary evidence showing that the appellee had publicly disclosed private facts.' Furthermore, in the Appellant's Petition for Rehearing filed by my own counsel, it is admitted word-for-word that 'the exhibit of medical records that was submitted as part of the divorce proceedings was not attached to Alexander's Complaint.' Missing the absolute core evidence entirely defeated my lawsuit before it even started. When I demanded my complete client files, email correspondence, and mandatory financial ledgers after this final dismissal, the firm became aggressively defensive, combative, and actively delayed the electronic file transfer. Word-for-word response from Catherine Ryan: 'Hi Alexander, First, the $10,000 you paid is a flat fee for the appeal. The rule you are citing refers to refundable retainer payments, or other payments that are "client funds," which a flat fee payment is not. A copy of your contract is attached. When a case is billed hourly, which yours was not, we send out invoices. I do not believe that we keep copies of invoices that are sent out, but of course we keep financial records. In your case, those records show payment of the flat fee and then expenses relating to filing fees along with the payments you made for those fees pursuant to the contract, which I am happy to provide. Additionally, you are not correct in stating that you are entitled to attorney work product or internal notes. Please refer to Arkansas Rule of Professional Conduct 1.19, and the Amendment to that Rule Delivered on November 21, 2019. As I stated previously, your electronic file will be available next week. -Catherine Charging $10,000 to appeal a case that was already doomed by your own failure to attach the primary evidence is unconscionable. DO NOT HIRE THIS FIRM if you require diligent procedural filing, basic competence, or transparent client communication. Protect your money and your legal rights elsewhere.
