Food was ok, but its been awhile since ive been to a schlotzky's. Their digital menu is messed up and didnt have the pastrami sandwich i wanted, listed. I had to describe what sandwich i wanted. Then to be told they only have jalapeno/cheese bread and sourdough. The fresh bread is a reason to go here, so that was a bummer. They still have a great hot sauce selection. The restaurant appeared clean. The drink station had gnats, LARGE gnats, so they may want to look at cleaning under the fountains or the trash receptacle, because these gnats have been around awhile. On a recent drive through town I decided to stop at one of my favorite places Schlotskys, only to find the worst made combination pizza I have ever seen. I submitted a pic for everyone to see, check it out it's definitely not a pizza it's a sandwich on pizza dough. Never have I received a combination pizza that look like this before!!! I know that the combination pizza is no longer on the menu, but I have never had a problem with someone knowing how to make one, however if the staff didn't know how maybe they should've asked. This place truly lives up to its ratings. I ordered the French Dip. Sandwich came out WITH OUT THE AU JUS!!! So is that just a French? Wife ordered the Chicken Avocado Cob salad and substituted the Ranch for Blue Cheese (clearly on the receipt) - salad came out with the Ranch!!! I went up and explained to the young lady. Took about 5 minutes for her to go get those 2 items, while she did about 5 other tasks with it. Also, zero personality, smile, "so sorry", etc. What is it about this generation that they seem so grumpy???? While waiting for the young lady to bring my stuff my wife said she needed the young lady to come to our table to look at something. The manager happened to come by and I asked her to go tend to my wife. Young lady comes with my stuff and as I get back to the table, the lettuce was wilted and well on it's way to spoiled on the wife's salad. Manager offered to remake the salad. Well, now, when it rains it pours - they made the WRONG salad! Wife told the manager and again she offered to make another one. Wife said it was ok, but just wanted her to know and it looked like she had her hands full with the clown show in the kitchen. A couple that came in after had problems with their order too that both had to be remade. The 3 stars is because of the managers efforts and he apologizing. The manger was new but she seems to be the ONLY one that is trying. My wife was very nice about our situation, but it's only going to take 1 a hole to chew one of these young people a new one and cause way more problems than we did. I was contacted by another Yelper, saying I should contact Schlotzsky's corporate concerning my lousy experience at my maiden voyage at Schlotzsky's. I explained to that reviewer that I already had filled out the online form on their site and after several months, I not only never received a reply - but they added insult to injury by adding me to their junk e-mail list. I'd just delete the e-mails when they came in - but one day I got another one of their SPAM e-mails and I remembered that the only reason I was getting this infernal spam was because I filled out an online form to explain my terrible experience and received ZERO reply. The reviewer said I should try again - and I do believe a company should have the right to redeem themselves. I went to their facebook page and posted a comment and got a response in about an hour from "Amanda" who posted schlotzskyspr@schlotzskys.com as the e-mail address where I could reach her. I gave her a link to my previous review (below - still valid - please read it) and she profusely apologized and said my experience was not the norm and that someone from customer relations (or similar dept. name) would contact me "shortly." That was on Dec. 20, 2012. As I write this - it is February of 2013 and I still haven't heard a peep. On Jan. 22, I posted a comment (so she would have gotten it) saying it had been a month with no follow-up and again - crickets chirping and nothing else. I will NEVER darken the door of a Schlotzsky's again. I already wasted my time and hard-earned money on a GREEN STAIN on a bun when I paid for guacamole. Fool me once, shame on you. After waiting at table for my order to be made, a worker walked up to my table grabbed my receipt looked at it and set it back down and left, not saying a word. Took me and the people sitting next to me by surprise. A minute later my sandwich came. I ordered no tomato, and the sandwich had tomato seeds, red stain from a tomato all over and even a chunk of tomato inside. Obviously they put tomato in and then just took it out. Thanks a lot, I appreciate that. Glad I'm not allergic to them just don't like them. I'll order no tomato and no tomato seeds next time. The worker should have been polite too and talked, as I find it rude to just walk up grab stuff off a guests table look at it and walk away. I guess it was to find out about the tomato but if that's the case should have just asked. Also all the info on my receipt they should already have. Receipt did say no tomato, also. We have eaten here numerous times and never had a complaint. But today a girl took our order who was obviously new and quite unfamiliar with the menu. She could not answer questions like, "what comes on that sandwich." Honestly, Schlotzsky's should display the ingredients on the sandwiches. Mine was wrong and the manager was not cordial about remaking it. My husband's sandwich is not even on the website to determine if his sandwich was made right, since his came out with just meat, cheese, and topping (dressing). I stopped going there about a year ago due to painfully slow service but today I thought I'd give them another chance. I was the only car in the drive through so how bad could it be? The cashier promptly took my order, I drove up to the window and paid. The cashier walked away and the wait for the food started. Ten minutes later I tapped on the drive up window and the same cashier returned and asked if I paid. I showed her my receipt and she handed me a bag of food. I pulled to a parking space to check my food and of course it was not correct. I decided not to go inside and ask for them to exchange the order because we would have to re-start the clock on waiting. I tried the sandwich they gave me but it was dripping in oil or juice so I tossed the mess in the trash and went elsewhere. I understand employers have staffing issues but this appears to be more of an absentee management/ownership problem. read more

If you find this sandwich location anywhere you should stop and eat. It started in Austin Texas and has a very strange name but you can trust that is will be a wonderful sandwich on amazing breads that are made in store so they are fresh every time. I drive a big rig and have pulled some crazy parking off to get one of these sandwiches where ever I find them. I would really like to give it a 2 1/2 stars, but I will bump them up to a 3 for cheerful employees, that made eye contact and said thank you and have a nice day. Small things, but gosh you do not get it that often. The person I was with had a craving for Schlotzsky's. We both love the old Schlotzsky's - and the "new" one still has a lot of work to do. The sandwiches were better than the ones in Austin, but still not great. We tried the Schlotzsky's baked chips rather than the traditional. The first thing I noticed was less chips, and the flavor/taste was not all that great. My companion did not like hers and ended up throwing them away. She is a chip maniac, so that says something. Speed of service was average for the amount of customers present. If in the area again, would not hesitate to stop. read more

I had a pretty good day today. That all ended whenever I came to your store. I got a turkey sandwich with mac & cheese and some chips and a soft drink for $17. To me, it was a little pricey but I won't talk about that that is by the owner. But the service was good god awful. The ladies were cussing and I do not allow that. They made me feel uncomfortable and unwanted like I wasn't there. And they were always talking to friends before while I was waiting there for just to get my order. Environment was toxic! It was sticky and stinky. And don't even get me started about the mac & cheese. I got a crunchy piece in there, mac & cheese is not supposed to be crunchy! And they don't know how to work the cash register. They weren't giving me the attention while I was asking for an order and they were only talking to people they knew and not acting like a professional business. Worst Schlotzky's experience ever. The drive through has always been fine. But, I came in to eat. I always order a cheese sandwich - which is not on the menu but is in the machine and always has been. She didn't understand and repeatedly asked if I meant "ham and cheese." She accidentally rang up a medium, so after I'd paid, I saw and said so quite nicely. She said, "ok, I'll tell them you want a small." I pointed out I'd paid for a medium, and she said, "oh, you want the change back?" I said yes. The manager came and gave me a dollar, but no tax. Then they delivered the food - medium, with ham. When I said, "are you kidding me?" She said that cheese isn't what I told her. I said, "Yes after you asked me repeatedly. And you read it back to me." She said, "that's what I rang up." Umm. I was having trouble deciding what would be good and the cashier suggested this deal and her 2 favorite foods and boy was she right!
