Schloss Hallwyl is a great castle for the family! There's a mix of outdoors and indoors display and activities for the kids to do. They have a lot of hands-on stuff for everyone to enjoy. Schloss Hallwyl is more rustic and a real feel for a medieval type of castle surrounded by water. There's also an audio guide available in English to help you get a more in depth history of the various displays inside the castle. Meter parking is available across the street (coins only - 1CHF = 1 Hour). *If you have a full day and a car, I highly recommend getting the Schlosspass for 34 CHF that also includes Schloss Lenzburg and Wildegg. It's only about 10 minutes apart from each of the locations. read more

I've had the fortune of visiting several castles in my worldly travels. The Lenzburg Castle has a…read morefaded history which makes it more intriguing. Records imply that the castle was constructed back in the early 11th century and changed hands over the early years. There a lot to see here and a definite must visit when I. Lenzburg. What I did find was that this castle has been very commercialized to gain the interests of the youth. This is fine and will keep places like this around for years to come, but I prefer the old school tours. Still an outstanding visit! Ciao!
