Schloss Eggenberg, or Eggenberg palace, dates back over 500 years. Take the guided tour in German or English to discover the state rooms and historical events involving the palace. Take the #1 tram line to Eggenberg, and walk East 1 block to the entrance. There is an entrance fee. To visit the palace, art galleries, or archaelogical museum costs extra, and tour is extra. There is no modern heating or cooling, and no modern lights in the palace. It is wheelchair accessible, and has modern bathrooms. read more

The castle was very well kept, the paintings and tapestries were gorgeous. It was a time travel during the whole guided tour. Our guide was very nice and had tons of additional information to provide us during the tour keeping each room very interesting and full of discoveries. The little park surrounding the castle is also nice for a stroll and to see the roses garden. This castle is easily accessible by tramway from the city center which makes it a great day trip activity. read more

Die Eggenberger Prunkräume sind mit originaler Ausstattung aus dem 18. Jahrhundert erhalten. Umgeben ist das Schloss von einem Landschaftspark aus der Zeit der Romantik. Die Prunkräume sind von 1. April bis 31. Oktober 2017 nur im Rahmen einer Führung zugänglich. Von 1. November bis 23. März 2018 sind die Prunkräume geschlossen. Führungen: Di-So, Feiertag um 10, 11, 12, 14, 15 und 16 Uhr (ausnahmsweise Abweichungen möglich) sowie zusätzlich nach Voranmeldung. Gruppen ab 7 Personen nur gegen Voranmeldung. Schlosspark und Gärten: November-März: täglich 8-17 Uhr April-Oktober: täglich 8-19 Uhr
