The corn is worth 5 stars; however, owner's disparaging comments toward my elderly mom and me were extremely disappointing and because of that, he gets 1 star. We are a long time customer and have always had pleasant experiences but not this time. Picked our own corn by peeling back the topmost portion of the husk to check color and kernel size. Did this for approx. 4 corns and purchased & paid for a dozen. After paying and while removing the husks, male owner comes over with at least a dozen corn in his arms and accuses us of "ruining" them all - asking why did we peel all of them back and that no one would buy them now. I responded that we didn't peel all of the ones in his arms and pointed out the ones that we rejected and why. He then stormed away and placed the corn that was in his arms into the bin for selling. If there is a different way to pick out corn then checking the kernels and color, then he should have educated us on his technique vs. yelling and accusing us of ruining the corn. I'm a big proponent of supporting local businesses, especially our local farmers, but this is one farmer I will no longer support due to his poor behavior. read more

Gem of a place! Great prices for pumpkins & mums, family is very kind. We will be stopping by since my kids are young a few times before they close end of October. Wish they had a corn pit! read more

We are a 4 generation family operation that specializes in non-GMO sweet corn & over 40 varieties of pumpkins & squash. Come see the exotic pumpkin varieties as well as our giants. You can choose from one of our pre-picked pumpkins or the PYO pumpkin patch. Our family staff is knowledgeable & willing to help haul your merchandise to your vehicle. Family, children, & pet friendly. Lots of photo opportunities.

History

Established in 2013.

It all started over 40 years ago when Grandma started selling pumpkins along the roadside of the Schiltgen family farm. The grandchildren would help with planting, weeding, harvesting, and cleaning the pumpkins for sale. The seed was planted with the oldest grandson who continued to enjoy farming, gardening and 4H. Now with a family of his own, the tradition lives on with 3 generations of Schiltgen family members continuing the fall pumpkin stand at the same family farm. The pumpkin choices have evolved and we offer over 40 different varieties of pumpkins, along with squash and fall decor.
