Now, a year later at age 4, He's talking more, expressing himself better, and his confidence has grown so much. His therapists, Ms. Kenzie and Ms. Emily, are incredible -- patient, caring, and very skilled. But what truly stands out is that the entire Santa Monica team operates with the same level of kindness, professionalism, and inclusivity. Everyone there is welcoming and supportive from the moment you walk in. They work with children of all abilities and all types of speech disorders, including kids with autism, ASL users, and children who communicate with AAC devices. They are respectful, inclusive, and meet each child right where they are. They also involve the whole family, offering guidance and tools so we can support our son at home. My son feels safe, understood, and excited for his sessions each week. Their flexibility with scheduling -- whether in-person or Zoom -- has been a huge help for our busy family. I truly can't say enough good things about this entire team. They've made such a positive difference in my son's communication and overall confidence. Highly recommend to any parent seeking caring and inclusive speech therapy.

Around 4 he was almost right where he should be for his age range. We continued our sessions as we wanted to complete other goals with his speech. I'm so grateful to have Mackenzie as my son's speech therapist. Mackenzie's kindness, resourcefulness and enthusiasm are bar none. Which is probably why my son is always so excited to see her. I'll never forget one my son's first sessions with her, he brought along a toy truck. She improvised the session to include the toy truck that he brought, which I thought was above and beyond. Highly recommend!

Our son has been…read morecoming for about a year and we already see tremendous improvement that has given both him and us (his parents) so much confidence. Melissa specifically has been incredible. She is patient, always willing to talk to us, and even communicates with his teachers at school to ensure our son is always getting the care and support he needs. She's also extremely knowledgeable, and is able to explain the roadmap for what she is working on not only now, but in the future, and how it will help our son overcome the challenges he came in with. We decided to do the Kinder Prep Camp after having done the Friendship Club, and were very…read moredisappointed with the lack of compassion and accommodation for our anxious 5-year-old compared to all the other regular camps we did this summer. We received a call within an hour of him being at the camp that he was stressed and overstimulated and didn't want to participate, so he was going to need extra support to stay. This was shocking to me considering how little time he had been there, that the point of it was to help kids adjust to kindergarten, and that their ratio was 2 adults to 7 kids. They told me that he consistently improved over the course of the first day and further improved on the second day, but that it would be too costly to keep another adult there to help him. It was sad for us because he left on a high note, telling me that he'd made a friend and that he had done a better job staying in the group. He clearly felt like a success and I wish he'd been given the opportunity to continue improving, but I didn't want him to stay at a camp where the facilitators believed that he was too much for them. He successfully did a year of TK last year and several other camps this summer, some with a ratio of 1 adult to 16 kids. CSC was polite to me and pro-rated me the other days, but it was upsetting because I assumed the most expensive camp I signed up for this summer (held at a therapy location) would be the greatest success, not the one camp that had to call me about an issue. This camp may work out for kids who are already very familiar with their gym environment and don't really need that much help when they feel anxious, but if you're looking for something that will help your child if they struggle in a new environment, this does not seem like the best choice. Some camps that worked well for us this summer were Pedalheads, Compass Clinic's Friendship Island Camp, Campbell Hall's Creative Arts Camp, and Destination Science.

The general consensus was that my little guy just had a speech delay and would eventually catch up. His progress would plateau quickly, and it felt like something was missing or just wasn't clicking for him. Word-of-mouth led us to an assessment with Lisa when my son was about 2.5 years old. From the very first session, I could tell she really got him. Lisa immediately (correctly) suspected apraxia and began using a completely different approach tailored to his needs. The progress he has made in just five months has been nothing short of amazing. Lisa's expertise is unmatched, and you can feel how deeply invested she is in helping your child succeed. She and her wonderful team--especially Seenu and Erin--know exactly how to challenge my little guy while keeping every session fun, encouraging, and full of positivity. He happily walks into his sessions and comes out smiling every single time. Lisa is also incredibly responsive and collaborative. Working with her truly feels like a partnership. For the first time, I feel like we have a real plan and are seeing meaningful progress. We are beyond grateful for Lisa, Seenu, and Erin--they've truly changed our lives!

My son Jonathan has been seeing Kim and her excellent team of speech therapists over the past year…read more Kim is very personable and great with kids. Jonathan was 4 when he started after his teacher at school said he needed to see a speech therapist. He started in office, but what I really liked about Kim's model was that they offered remote therapy - a gift when you have several kids that you have to take back and forth from school! So before Covid-19 even hit California, he was already doing remote sessions and it was great. My son did not have to be pulled out from school and miss anything. He was able to do therapy after school at home. When California was shut down, he was so fortunate to be able to continue his therapy!!! I can't thank Kim and her team enough for having this platform. Jonathan's speech has improved so much and he's learning so much new vocabulary. He also gets to play games which is reinforcing the words he's learning. He is continuing his therapy because my son loves it so much and they are continuing to improve their online platform. Thanks Kim and everyone there!

I wasn't sure what else I could do to work on it, but knew that I needed to do SOMETHING since it was becoming a real challenge at work. Kim couldn't have been more personable and invested in what I wanted to accomplish and really did a lot to understand my problem. She was always attentive to emails as we set up our appointments and our first phone interview I felt like she truly wanted to get to know me, my history, and my experiences. After a phone and in-person appointment, she recommended a form of hypnotherapy for the mild stutter that she saw I had. Since I was open to any form of therapy, I leapt at the chance for this. What I found I liked most from her, is how positive she was and how confident she felt her treatment was going to be. The treatment lasted several weeks, from personalized recordings that she made me. She was always open to creating new ones for me to listen to as part of the treatment plan. After following her treatment plan and continuing to talk to her about its effects, I feel like the issue has gotten better and I'm thrilled. Kim is fantastic and is very dedicated.
