Absolutely horrible customer service from the very first phone call. They have to warranty an issue they caused on our new home build, through the builder, when we filed our claim the person who called immediately had an attitude and attempted to brush the issue off. This is even before having to deal with them actually servicing the issue. Would definitely not recommend if you are looking to pay for electrical services. read more

The customer service is literally THE WORST you could ever imaging! They told me to hang up and refused to arrange the service for us! I wish I could give zero stars. First, we believe we were required to use this company because our builder used them and they claimed it would void our warranty unless we did. Turns out not to be true, but it explains why we tried so hard to work with them. First, scheduling an appointment was a nightmare. They didn't have anything available for more than a week, they have a two hour minimum, and they charge really high prices. Nonetheless, we scheduled the appointment. They couldn't do our first appointment, so we rescheduled. The day before they were to come out, they called us to let us know they couldn't come. At that point we told them that they needed to come out because it had been several weeks for us without any lights in the new place. The person said they would be sending someone out. Fast forward to the next day when they're over an hour late and we try to contact the company on the phone. First, they claim to be placing us on hold and instead put us on the same line with another customer who was calling with her own complaint. Then we sat on hold again and couldn't get through to the customer service representative. Next, when we finally got ahold of her she said she had tried to cancel our appointment and wasn't able to find a replacement. She didn't even bother to call to let us know no one would be out. When we asked for the manager so that we could let them know what was going on, we were given the HR manager (who clearly didn't know anything) and who was rude and dismissive. Take it from the other negative reviews and go anywhere else. read more

We have a high-end restaurant and the staff was so incompetent as to cause us to close operations for 3 days, and have me personally "babysit" their work on 2 other of my days off. They installed our point-of-sale equipment wrong (made tragic because I supplied them with written installation instructions) so it didn't work right. They forget to install network cabling, and we had to call in 2 vendors to give them tech support on supposed areas of their expertise, one of which was to re-calibrate machines over to wi-fi that were factory-configured for ethernet but Schamber forget to install ethernet networking... now how does a network company forget to install network cables? One more "got worse" thing- we purchased an alarm system that after 45 days of operation stopped working. It's been 6 days and still no call back, not even from our so-called account manager. .... and I escalated to one of the owners! We're going so far as to rip-and-replace our audio-video (part of the "got worse story") and our alarm system for things that work and will have equipment installed by a competent company. read more

Schamber Electric is awesome we have called them for emergencies and for daily items and always received quick and excellent response time. They are professional and courteous. During one emergency we lost electricity to our entire building and Schamber electric got us back in business within the hour. They have also provided smaller non-emergency items like smoke alarms, electric hand-dryers in all bathrooms, updating electrical wiring and installing outside security lighting. Pete is usually our go to guy and we are thankful to have Schamber Electric to rely on for all of our electrical needs! read more

I called this company because my home was under warranty. I made my first appointment and the service person did not show up or call to cancel the appointment. The address light was out on the front of my house. After my second call and a three week delay the service person came out and he fixed the sign and also told me the 2nd light bulb was out. Instead of replacing the bulb and charging me for the bulb he handed me the bulb and told me to go to a hardware store for a replacement bulb because its not covered under warranty. I called the company and the customer service person was at a lost for words of why the service person did not replace the light bulb. I don't have anything bad to say about the company, but they do not solve your problem or go the extra mile. read more

I contacted this company after seeing an old ad in the Yellow Pages. Even though they no longer provided residential services they were very helpful at addressing my concerns regarding my electrical panel. The first company I received a quote from wanted 350 an hour to replace my house panel which would've cost me about $4000. They even offered financing through GE which would result in me paying off the services over 10 years. That is just crazy. I spoke with one of the owners and he was very helpful and gave my name to one of his employees who contacted me and came to my house to assist me with the problem. Even though Schamber electric no longer did residential service work they were able to help me get my issues resolved at a reasonable price. The people were very nice and helped me quickly to fix my panel without breaking my pocket book. read more

The one time I got through I was quoted $150 per hour just to install z-wave light switches. They said someone would call back. That was two weeks ago. I guess their business must somehow be good. Three phone calls and no one ever called me back. read more

They got a few really good honest guys but the girl in the office makes them all look bad, it's really sad. She has no idea what she is doing and is 2faced but it's the owners fault for letting it happen. I'd recommend them but only if you can schedule through one of the field supervisors or Dillon in the office. I began having trouble with the same light switch for some reason. I placed a work order request through my home's website; however, I never heard back from them. I decided to call Schamber Electric directly, and the call-taker immediately helped me. She quickly set up an appointment for me and really provided great customer service. Within a few days, the company sent Pete back to my residence. He re-assessed the problem and installed a brand new switch (it appears the sensor may have been the problem). Once again, in and out in around 10 minutes. It's so easy with this guy! So far, so good... the light switch hasn't given me any more problems. But I know if it ever does again (doubt it), I can count on Schamber Electric to help me out faster than my home's company can or ever will! Thanks again, Pete! read more

Don't use these people they do not stand by their work. They did some work at my house a year ago and the same problem is occurring which could cause a fire in my house. I would never use these people as they say they will charge me $75 an hour to come out and fix what they should have in the first place and said is a minimum of 3 hours for service so pay another 225 for work they didn't do right?
