The dining experience: Arriving in the charming restaurant, gives the feeling of walking into a real world adventure story. The decour gives the illusion of stepping a few hundred years back in time. Our waitress bid us welcome and showed us to our seats, and shortly thereafter our dinner started. All the courses were above expectations, and the wines accompanied the food well. We had two in our party that does not enjoy red wine, and our waitress assisted in switching to a fitting white wine without any hassle. A lovely evening, with lovely food. The Hotel: Charming and confusing. The old building from 1581 shows its age in the ways that floors and walls are skewed and tilting. It was interesting that it was after the dinner with all the wine that i felt like i could walk straight without worrying about my balance. But this is part of the charm that Hotel Dagmar has. The room was cozy and had all the amenities we could need. All in all, a great stay i would recommend to anyone. The only reason that I'm not giving 5 stars, is because 5 stars are reserved for michelin level dining experiences :) EDIT: Changed to 5 stars as the stars should fall within what can be expected of the price range. And we got a lot more than pur moneys worth. Also, thanks to our waitress Laura for helping us achieve what was an absolutely memorable evening.

The $150 included not only the typical full breakfasts, but two full dinners as well, choice of chicken and gravy or steak with béarnaise sauce. Plus, the staff was delighted to have us, so late in October. The picture is the view from our balcony. We had fun running, hiking, and driving around the island of Rømø, seeing the horses and cars way out on the hard-packed sand beach.

Also, what dragged me away from a 4 star review, is that every morning they serve uncooked bacon. The rest of the breakfast is fine, but they cannot, for the life of me, cook bacon. It's not hard, but they somehow mess it up. Otherwise, I do recommend it over the other hotels at Rømø. Very nice pool area with sauna.

Refrigerator/mini bar in room. Coffee maker and hot water kettle also standard in room. Nice quality bed linens and towels. Air conditioning is helpful even when not hot, as you will need to shut the windows when it rains. Breakfast buffet is very ample with meats, herring, salmon, breads, cold salads, and of course hot eggs to order, etc. Nice surprise is the fresh orange juice maker. Hours for breakfast until 10:00. Coffee in the lobby all day. Cookies in the evening.
