I'm happy to report that after our first visit this week, the whole team at JP's Top Dog earned a round of applause (and a wag of the tail). Booking was convenient. They don't traumatize the dogs by locking them in a kennel. All the dogs seemed happy roaming about. There was no foul odor as one sometimes endures in other dog grooming salons. The staff was friendly. The Miniature Schnauzer cut was perfect and my dog's coat was clean. I hope their business keeps growing so that they're around a long time to keep my dog in style. Oh, and the pricing was quite affordable. =)

New to the area, I posted a question on Facebook, asking for recommendations on where to have my…read moreScottish Terrier groomed. Several people kindly recommended Bridgemill Pets, in particular a lady named Julie. I called to make an appointment and Julie answered, remembered my name! With what my puppy and I call going to the "beauty shop," Bridgemill Pet's "beauty shop" did a wonderful job and once again my 11+ year old Scotty "Daisy" looked marvelous! (She's beautiful anyway and her daddy tells her that all the time). So I highly recommend Bridgemill Pets and they're more than just a grooming shop, they are well stocked with high quality pet food and supplies. Not to knock Pet Smart or other such retailers, here you have caring people ant the atmosphere is very friendly.

We found Bridgemill through our vet, Harmony Animal Hospital, a few years ago. Initially we were…read morehappy with the cut on our golden retriever and went back several times. However probably in the last 12-14 months they can't seem to keep groomers. What this has meant is appointments are hard to get, sometimes the earliest being 3-4 months out. We have been requesting the same style cut on our golden the last 5-6 times but recently the quality in cut has decreased and our most recent visit they barely did a cut at all yet still charged us over $100 and kept him for 4 hours. It was not the cut we requested and instead of being apologetic, they more or less shrugged and said the groomer was new and would do better next time. The only concession we got was they would move his cut up and would get him in earlier to cut his hair correctly. That was back in April/May. Our appointment was set for early July but we couldn't remember the exact date so my wife called and was shockingly told that our appointment didn't exist anymore because another groomer quit. There was no attempt by Bridgemill to notify us of this change. The customer experience has been nothing but poor since 2023 and we will be taking our business elsewhere to find more consistent grooming. I don't know what's going on with this place that all their groomers keep quitting but it has ended up meaning a serious decline in service and consistency yet their prices keep rising or staying the same.

She genuinely cares…read morefor each animal that walks through her door, and you can tell she isn't just somebody going through the motions of her job. No, she is obviously following her passion, and that is shown through her customer service and love of our animals. We have been taking our dogs to Nicole for years (before this store even opened up), and recently one of our dogs passed away. It was only one night after her death did we know that someone had to phone Nicole to let her know. She wasn't just a groomer, she was a friend. She was so sweet to us and actually teared up when we told her of our dogs passing. Before she died, our dog used to walk freely around the store while Nicole finished up other clients. She loved coming to Nicole's to get pampered. I know this review is getting long, but I can't give enough praise to Nicole. She is very professional while also being extremely personable. Worth the price every time. :)
