Scenthound was awesome! I have 2 stubborn, frightened, 92 pound dogs and the techs were able to win their trust and accomplish everything--even the nail trim. These are very skittish, 11 year old dogs (pit bull and German Shepherd). I was surprised that they so quickly got my dogs' cooperation. I will be taking my dogs there regularly. I had one of the most heartbreaking experiences of my life at this grooming facility. I asked the staff for one simple courtesy before my dog Chrome's appointment -- please call me before starting. That request was ignored, and when I brought him home, I found a red cut on his nose, several scratches across his body, and a very uneven haircut. The most shocking part wasn't just the injuries, but how I was treated when I voiced my concerns. Instead of an apology, the front desk woman, Angela, actually called me a liar. To be insulted like that while my dog was visibly hurt was beyond disrespectful and devastating. I was also told they had to go out and buy clippers during the process, which shows how unprepared and unprofessional this place is. There was no communication, no accountability, and no compassion shown by anyone. Chrome is family to me, and to see him come home injured and brushed off by staff left me in tears. If you love your pets and value respect, professionalism, and basic communication, please do not bring them here. I am deeply saddened that I ever entrusted Chrome to this business. read more

I forgot to review this place. I only remembered because someone from the sales team reached out to me today. Interior / Exterior They're in the little strip mall that sits in front of Kroger, sandwiched between Great Clips and House of Lu. I think Farmer's insurance was the previous tenant in the space. The space is bright and well lit. Lots of oversized stock photos of happy pets and bottles of their products. Price / Value Can't really say. All the pricing is contingent on memberships. When I asked if I could get the non-member pricing, the associate rather snidely told me that I would need to look at the price on the flyer and calculate the discount percentage. For instance, let's say the discount is 20%. If a service is listed at $15, that's the price with the 20% discount, I've got to do the the math to figure out what MY non-member price would be. Math was never my strong suit and I certainly wasn't up to trying to calculate percentages on all their services while I stood there, so I left with my flyer. I had to write a doggone Excel formula to make sure my math was right - lol - $18.75 non member price, if discount was 20% , would yield a $15 member price. I've never seen a business that didn't just list both member and non-member prices on their flyers. Shortly after this location opened, I saw several Nextdoor posts from neighbors who were voicing confusion and complaints about the pricing. One woman wrote that she ultimately paid $90 for a service that she thought was going to cost $45. Others were expressing surprise that there is a separate charge to dry the dog - it's not included in bath price. Customer service I thought the associate was pretty condescending but our interaction was fairly brief. She smiled a lot, but it was a big, saccharine smile. She used that slow, odd cadence you use when you're super annoyed with someone but I honestly didn't know what I'd done to annoy her. It was weird. I felt almost like she was sending me 'get out of here brokie, you can't afford us' vibes simply because I was asking questions about the prices. I guess it's like Sheila E told us in Glamourous Life, "if you have to ask you can't afford the lingerie." Overall Initially, I schedule a sani-trim and several other services, but I injured myself shortly before my scheduled appt and had to cancel the appt. Note - for some reason, their sani trim does not include paw pads. The Paw pads trim are separate cost and the Eyes & Brow trim are a separate cost as well. Gizmo's face doesn't ever require trimming, so that's not a big deal, but I have never, in my 10 years of being a pet parent heard of sani trim that did not include genitals, butt, paw pads and mouth / muzzle. Gizmo has a regular groomer, but with my insane work schedule and impromptu and constant trips to south Ga, it can be hard to get in there, so I wanted a good backup salon. Shortly after my cancellation, Scenthound's other Marietta location was in the news because one of the customers accused them of dropping and injuring their dog and the dog ultimately died. I'm a fan of straightforward, upfront pricing and they don't offer that. This coupled with everything else made me not reach out to reschedule. read more

I was skeptical going in because of the two bad reviews, but my experience was totally different. For me it is all about how they treated my fur baby and they were very kind and gentle. The space itself was clean and well kept. I was greeted at the door, and the staff were always very professional. They listened to me and my preferences. I was also very happy with the price and there are memberships, but they never tried to push me into buying one or anything extra. I was happy with how my fur baby was groomed and he was happy too. He kept going behind the counter to interact with the lady who groomed him while I was paying my bill. I will be patronizing this establishment again. read more

I highly recommend this groomer. My dog hates to be groomed, but now loves too. They are so underpriced for what they offer. Teeth cleaning alone cost more than the entire cost they charge. My Rotty's coat is so shiny and nails are cut correctly. I am going to get the monthly subscription. It's a great deal. read more
