Finding the store in a wonderful 50th anniversary atmosphere, brought out some nostalgic moments. And yes, still quality first at Scapa. Enjoy. read more

I'm an interior design addict, especially if it's Scandinavian, so I had to go. HAY is all about cozy minimalism: pure lines with natural materials and playful colours. The mix of furniture pieces and a wide range of accessories makes it accessible for everyone's wallet. The location of the HAY store is remarkable too. You have to go through an ally to get to the shop, so there's no display window. A bold choice for a shop, but HAY already has quite a firm fan base, so I guess it won't be a problem in the end. The building was an old orphanage, which iron cribs gave the name to the entire street, IJzerwaag (coming from 'ijzer' and 'wieg', which means 'iron crib' in Dutch). Now the building is light with lots of windows. I especially recommend HAY for its office accessories. Colourful maps and storage items, pretty block notes, rulers and so on... The brand has turned the dull into the delightful.

One of my favorite shop in Antwerpen! If you feel like exploring the very trendy and peaceful…read moreneighbourhood which comes after the well-known Kloosterstraat, you will find Rewind, a very nice and bright space which only sells products made with used products, aka. recycled. The products are not only ecological but really beautiful, vibrant, full of art, and very convenient. There are all unique products, made by designers which use our garbage to create beautiful and cool things we can reuse in daily life... I want to buy almost everything each time I visit this shop... my favorite are the cushions, especially the one from Muskhane, the plaids, all the lamps, the vases made from old plastic bottles and painted with pale pinks, greens and yellows, and the laundry bags. The furnitures are also great. A little part of the collection changes progressively with each season... which gives me the impression to always find my favorite items back with some new ones. I've got a crush on this concept, the space, the selection, and the discrete but kind owners of this smart shop. If you like art, design and you are environmentally conscious, you have to go there!

A very abrasive individual chastised us for taking a picture even though there were no signs prohibiting them. Fine - that's fair but two seconds later while we were simply pulling out our phone to look at the map the same angry guy rudely threw us out of the store. I have never experienced this anywhere I have traveled to in the world.
