Well situated just off the motorway you will find this surprisingly large hotel/conference…read morevenue/family fun hotel. From the out side you can see the hotel is built on a large plot of land. The car park expands all around the site so you should never have to worry about parking. The hotel has ample conference rooms all of various sizes with all the AV/Audio resources you would expect to find in a business hotel. Where it did surprise me was the family orientated side of things. They have a large indoor pool area that has two separate pools equipped with water slides. While I was here I witness many families using the pool facilities along side the spa area. Over the weekend the pool was very busy and this had the expected affect in the Resturant area. The Resturant, while I was in residence, only did buffet type meals. Which is fine, apart from when you are staying with 8 teams of footballers who need to, and most certainly do, eat. My criticism of the hotel would be the pace, or lack of, at which they replenished the food, needs work. There are many breakout areas around the bar area with comfy chairs and tables for those who need a moment. The bar area was very large and the bar almost small in comparison. Wifi is free which makes it a bit hit and miss, for a wifi hogger such as myself I need lots of bandwidth. For a hotel which seemed to cater for business users I found the wifi a problem. Come on fix it!! All in all a good hotel with helpful staff. If you are out this way you could do worse. My room was small but functioned well for my needs.
