Not all the artist change year to year, so if you see art you like you might see them again ... or…read moremaybe not. The get thing about this event is supporting small artists and this local Park City event. The Kimball Art Festival is the best place and time if you're out to scope and scoop up a piece. There are a couple of ticketing options like day passes, weekenders, and VIPs. Access to Main Street is only gained through required ticket tables. Because there is no parking on Main Street, park on Swede Alley or take public transit from the high school or Richardson Flats.

This was my third time attending the festival. I didn't go last year. It was dead this year…read morecompared to the other years I've attended. Parking is difficult. You can't park in Deer Valley. All the lots have signs saying "No Festival Parking" despite them being empty. When I went in 2023, there was a dedicated lot and lots of shuttle buses to take you to and from the venue, but that wasn't the case this year. Also, I'm pretty sure I only paid $7 to get in last time. I enjoyed the unique art and was only mildly put off by having to pay an entrance fee. But this year, it was a whopping $15 to get in. I understand that the fees support art classes for kids and other stuff, but if you can afford to live in Park City, you probably don't need help paying for art classes. You have to be rich to buy anything at this show (not to mention needing lots of wall space, as most pieces are huge). Even the jewelry Is very expensive. I won't attend again. It's pretty much the same thing every year and too pricey to get in. Oh, and no way was there 200 artists. Not even close.

Everything from parking far away and paying $10.00 for parking and the shuttle and waiting for 40 min for one to get us. The food lines were at least 40 min. If you don't like crowds say away. We even went early on Friday. I can't imagine what it will be like on Saturday.

Nothing Swiss here except the yodeling, some costumes and flags. They have lost their way and need to redo. If there are Swiss goods in those vendors, you'll never find them because there are so many pedaling Chinese crap they bought in bulk. They are absolutely not prepared for the crowds. Parking is abysmal, busing is inadequate. You will be spending most of your time waiting for busses and waiting in lines if you decide you do want a scone or a scone taco? Words and phrases that should be associated with Swiss Days: not Swiss, sunburns, long lines, crowds, not enough buses, swap meet, LDS marketing, no beer, not enough food options, bad crowds, traffic.... Words and phrases that should NOT be associated with Swiss Days: Swiss, Swiss goods, Swiss people, Swiss culture, fun, organization, planning, adequate staff, adequate facilities.... Really.... Just goto the State Fair, your local county Fair, the swap meet, or pretty much any other event of that sort over this. You'll save yourself 3-4 hours in line, have more food options, more to do, same vendors (if you even want that stuff), won't have to wait for as many people and probably won't get as sun burnt.

I love getting to go to outdoor concerts in beautiful places! And we're so lucky to have this venue…read morein Park City, overlooking the gorgeous mountains. I recently came here for a show, and had a wonderful experience! I was a little worried about parking, but we got here on the later side - closer to 7/:715ish when the show started at 6:30pm and there was plenty of parking and no traffic at all. You're able to bring your own food, chairs, blankets, etc. into this venue, which is nice. You cannot bring in your own alcohol. You can also pay for a picnic dinner here too for pick up? So cool. They have various food tents around the venue as well. There were only a handful of areas to buy drinks, and they all had long lines, which is to be expected at a concert like this. Drinks are expensive, which is also to be expected. There were only two bathrooms that I saw within the venue, but you can come and go from the venue which is awesome, and you can use the bathrooms within Deer Valley Resort. I haven't been to a show recently that allowed re-entry so that is pretty cool. We snagged a spot all the way up in the back of the venue and could see the stage, but not super well. They have screens here but they're not huge. If you want a better spot I would suggest coming early. I was really impressed by the experience here. We stayed for the entire show and leaving wasn't really an issue. There was some traffic getting out, but it wasn't bad compared to other venues I've been to. Bring blankets or layers to bundle up, because it gets chilly when the sun goes down, even in the hottest part of the summer.

We were fortunate to have reserved seats on the front row, so we had an incredible view of the performers and were very comfortable. The setting is gorgeous-from the beautiful mountains to the colorful sunsets, it's an environment begging to be enjoyed. There are a few food and drink options provided by Deer Valley, but come prepared to spend a pretty penny. I do believe they'll allow you to bring coolers for your own food, so if you'd like a more budget-friendly meal, consider that option. If you're someone that likes to dance at live concerts, the front row is not for you. There is a small space, but signs advise that dancing in that area is not allowed. It's a much more passive experience-sit and enjoy from your seat. Dancing is allowed in the grass area, so plan for that if you need to shake your groove-thing.

As far as music festivals go, I'd say Bonanza Campout is about 85% percent "there."…read moreThe venue was really the determining factor for the entire thing--though it appears small on the map, overall there was an acceptable amount of room for the amount of people that attended. There weren't many, and hearing from other people's experiences, it seems that buying a ticket last minute for this was the way to go because the festival seemed to be giving them away as the date came closer: schools, radio stations, other concerts, and certain businesses had either free tickets or generous discounts. On the first day after opening, the population of the whole place was probably about 90. Over the weekend, more people seemed to show up despite bad weather. There were not many places to escape the rain on the second day, and being told that we could not return to our cars after 6 pm did not really help. The tables used for the RV spots were moved into the middle of the park so there were some places to sit, and water was very easily accessible...even though the website states that everyone is allowed "water up to 20 oz if it's factory sealed or in a reusable bottle" they wanted any outside liquids thrown away. There was a surprisingly great selection of food, from trucks to stands, and the prices were decent. Portapotties were definitely available. I don't know if I would call this a very family-friendly environment, with such a small area, all of the smoking and drinking kind of converges at once. Parking was horrible if you didn't arrive early. By the end of the night, there were cars literally parked a mile from the site. It is a two lane road and the only parking is on the very weedy side--and due to the lack of space, they were telling people to double park. They were charging $5 for parking, but I would definitely argue that once the cars are extending past the RV park property, the can no longer ask for a fee...it's not their property to charge for. Music, Art, Camping: The price overall was justified by some key (and quite impressive) performances. Other than Cold War Kids, Jamie N Commons, Secret Weapons, Doe, Milo Greene, and Jr. Jr. seemed to really give a good balance to some of the more electronically-based bands. On that note, the festival had numerous music quality issues: the audio was at least partially lost on quite a few performances, and on the second day the music was cranked up so loudly it become almost unbearable. This was especially annoying as the close proximity of the Shade Stage and the Bonanza Stage become a lot more obvious with all of the sound bleed. For the most part, the organizers were great at staying on schedule so there wasn't a whole lot of music-less time. This festival was not really art-centric at all--the main art attractions were a few (very impressive) vendors, a tree full of umbrellas (?), and an art piece sponsored by Skullcandy. This was slightly disappointing, because the entire area has a lot of potential as far as space and involvement with festival goers. We did not elect to do the camping, and I'm glad we didn't--a lot of the claims the festival made as far as amenities ("bathrooms" = portapotties, despite actual bathrooms in the main building... "fenced in area for campers only" = listing to a crazy amount of people and cars try to exit in the night because they are parked right next to you...) were stretches, and if you really wanted to camp, you could do it down the road, without paying a thing. The last 15% this festival is missing might include a better parking situation, more space, increased vendors, better sound quality, more art, and, likely, better hype. The lack of people was blaringly obvious, but overall, everybody in my group had a good time. And most importantly, despite all of the issues, Bonanza did pretty well by compensating with an impressively large variety of music.
