And the variety of activities is just stunning. Horseback riding, canoeing, mini golf, both inside and outside, all manner of pedal powered vehicles, on road and on the water, a rope course, billiards, ping pong, paintballing, tennis, a carousel, a huge balloon that you can climb into and tumble around the lake and that doesn't include the coolest thing....
Aqua Mundo, arguably the most fun water park I've ever been to.
Now the French have a knack for scary fast rides but their love of rules sometimes fouls up the program. Here the guest to fun-spoiler ratio was about 100 to 1. The water slides are fast but the chutes were straight up rockets. The lazy river is more active and fun than the one you probably know and they've appropriately named it the "Wild River'. That plus a wave pool and a smaller lazy river and a bubble beach and a water slide that you ride on a figure 8 shaped innertube, in the dark, sometimes backwards.
It got busy but it never felt cramped and the views of the woods and sounds of the birds were a wonderful backdrop for a sweet weekend with the whole French family.
And I nearly forgot. The water park is inside so no matter how miserable it is outside the swimming is great!
