I chose PCAH because after speaking with the owner Brian, I felt that they were most able to provide care. Brian was willing to put their needs first in matching them with a caregiver and was personable and responsive on the phone prior to beginning care. The caregiver spent more time on their phone than engaging with my parents or caring for their needs, did fine when told what to do, but wasn't really able to be proactive in helping without being asked. Then after just 3 days, they quit without notice, leaving my parents without transportation to a doctor appointment. Brian initially said he would find a replacement, but then stopped responding; he has not responded to my emails or returned my parents' phone messages. I am disappointed; I question the entire industry's business model of low wages that result in low commitment.
