Had a tree on my property that had a parasite so I called save a tree. They came out and treated the tree but it was super windy and the tree still had the parasites. I called them and they came out again. All done was happy. I get a call from my Wife this morning that save a tree is treating the tree which is now a year later. I called them and they said no problem we made a mistake. I check my email when. I get home and I get this email that I have to pay the bill since you signed a contract for multiple years which I was never informed of. I was under the assumption the contract was for the one time service. Shame on me for not reading it better. If you use this company be very careful, read everything. I called SavATree to help me with more than just trimming a tree but to help me with a Neighbor who was complaining about my tree messing up her pool. Not only did they do a great job trimming my tree but their arborist Lorianne spoke to the neighbor to help me. Save-A-Tree should change their name. Maybe Save-A-Shrub...no, no...they are not good at that either. I have had this company doing work at my house for over 15 years. I even put up a sign on my property to promote their business (see below). Shame on me! I finally saw the light. Save-A-Tree will never do work on my property again. Why? Because their customer service stinks. Their management stinks. Over the years, Save-A-Tree ruined my sidewalk with anti-desiccant spray. They burned up my grass while cutting trees down with a bucket truck on my manicured front lawn. I've lost many shrubs over the Winter that Save-A-Tree was supposed to keep alive. I spent $300 eight times per year for their Arbor Patrol program. You would think that with the name Save-A-Tree they would be inspecting my trees on their arbor patrols? NO, they don't do that. I was told inspecting trees takes too much time. I lost a beautiful silver maple because a hole that was in the tree (for many years) was too high (8' off the ground) and the arbor patrol person did not carry a ladder on the truck. The tree needed inspection, and it was not done nor was it reported to management. How can you Save-A-Tree when you do not inspect the tree? You can't. The arbor patrols are a waste of money. Save-A-Tree just wants to do the arbor patrols so they can make money. Arbors patrols are sometimes jammed together because of the weather. There is no reason for jamming arbor patrols together except to make money. Also, the price Save-A-Tree charges for cutting trees is significantly more than other prices I have gotten. The management at Save-A-Tree has a very bad attitude. So what is good about Save-A-Tree? NOTHING. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company. read more
