For one, because of the lack of A/C, rooms and public areas can get pretty warm when a crowd gathers -- even with windows cracked open. Speaking of which, the windows are neat-o; they can be cracked open toward the top or fully opened via the side-hinge. I loved them.
We stayed in the Classic Room, located on the second level at the front of the building. It was one of the larger suites in the hotel, consisting of three rooms, a bedroom, a bathroom, and a living room. The couch in the living room folded out into another bed. The rooms also came with ample closet space, two writing desks, numerous chairs, and a television. Everything was new, sleek, and modern. But the best features were the windows -- there were roughly five in all and the spanned the entire outer wall. When all were opened, the breeze was glorious.
Due to the heat, we kept the windows cracked open through the night, and though there was a little traffic noise throughout the night, it didn't keep us from getting a good night's rest. There weren't any bugs that flew in either. Yay!
If you're looking at amenities, this place has a fair amount. Downstairs, you'll find a fitness center and sauna. There's a wet sauna and a dry sauna; connected to the room is also a relaxation room. It's perfect for an after-workout detox session. However, there seems to be a leaking issue because we found puddles of water everywhere downstairs. Note: the sauna downstairs closes early -- around 9pm, I think.
The bathroom was nice; everything was very white. Lol. I have no complaints aside from the fluctuating water temperature in the shower -- it'll be the perfect temperature one moment, and then turn either into a burning inferno or an artic bath in the span of a minute.
I didn't get much of a chance to explore the surrounding area, but there seems to be a lot of local businesses ans offices nearby.
