April 2025 i brought a 2011 Audi, i purchased everything thru their sales guy Ron Monk, Test drove the truck, everything was fine during the test drive. Everything seemed ok during the purchase. Once i drove off the lot with the truck, the check engine light came on, i immediately reached out and spoke with Heather. She instructed me to bring the truck back that Friday, so i did. Got there Friday Morning, And was met by Ron, who had no idea i was bringing the truck back, and was slightly confused because their mechanics don't work on Friday's so i was told. Anywho he later found a mechanic there to do a diagnostic. They did that never told me what the issue was, but assured me they would reach out to me when the part came in, a week or so goes by, i called them to see what the hold up for the part, Again Ron Monk, instructed me to not drop the truck off, that Wednesday, but the Mechanic wouldn't be in the shop that Thursday and they don't work on Friday's or the weekend and he didn't want me to be without a vehicle. So i was told drop the vehicle off that Monday morning and under the impression that it would only take a day for they vehicle to be fixed. Dropped it off Monday morning, never heard anything back about my vehicle until two- three days later and i was then met with the mechanic who was very disrespectful and rude. He wouldn't answer any questions i had or how i was to be without a vehicle, then told me that the information that he provided they should have told me and then later said well they wouldn't know to tell me because he didn't tell them. They kept the vehicle over a month. June 4, 2025, Ron monk reached out to me saying that Saul had fixed the vehicle, and was going to restart everything and restart the deferred my first month payments and i was able to pick the vehicle up .. later that day i picked the vehicle up drove the truck to the gas station. Check engine light comes back on. I reached back out to them for a week and half attempt to let them know even Emailed Ron with pictures, No response back . Until the truck eventually gave out on me two weeks after i picked it back up from them. Not one time did i talk to sail, not one time did he offer to give me another vehicle, due to their lack of communication, lack of service, any time i would try to speak to SAUL he was either never in the building or out on a vacation, i wouldn't recommend anybody to purchase anything from them. They are dishonest people and nobody deserves to be played with especially when its their first time purchasing anything from them. And Ron Monk would never put saul on the phone and Needless to say He always told me that Saul wouldnt even consider giving me a refund of $1800 read more

I just recently put money down on a 2008 Chevy Malibu. The tires are dry rotted, check engine light is on it. AC doesn't work in it and the trunk is just all sorts of messed up. Didn't even have the right spare tire for it either when I had to replace the tire. He owner said the tires were good, Uhmm he was most definitely wrong. I've only made two car payments before they told me to bring the car back due to my insurance lapsing due to financial problems I was having at the time. They wouldn't even wait till payday for me to pay my bills. They literally are the worst car lot to go to. Don't go to them. Stir clear!!! They only care about a down payment. read more

Bought a 2015 Chevy Cruze in Oct. The next day the check engine light came on. Brought the car back a few times only to have the mechanic clear the light, which promptly came right back on. I would fix whatever code that came up only to have another code pop up. After replacing every sensor, spark plugs, ignition coil and valve gasket cover, the car continued to go downhill. From the beginning it appeared to have a small oil leak, which then progressed to a rather large oil leak and the car overheating. The car then would not shift gears properly and would struggle to go over 25-35 miles an hour. At this point it is no longer safe to drive, to which the dealer responded you have to pay to tow it to us. I am 25 miles away and to pay to tow it would cost way too much and I felt would be a waste of time since every other time I brought the car to them, nothing was done. So after paying for 3 months and putting in almost $2k in repairs, I told the bank to come pick the POS up...I warn everyone, do not buy a car from them. read more

Purchased a low mileage fully loaded Buick lacrosse with a salvaged title. Was not seriously looking for a new car but this deal was to good to pass up. Car was like new and further review by my go-to mechanic back home revealed no traces of the accident damage that caused the salvaged title. I noticed poor reviews by others because of warranty issued with salvaged titles. Sauls' went over board to explain warranties/recalls are cancelled on salvaged titles with my purchase. This place is ONLY good for getting anyone approved that may not get approved other places. They don't even require a license a s long as you have money they will take it. They will try to get you in the vehicle fast and will promise you things that THEY WILL NOT DO! I was told to bring vehicle in for repair and NOTHING was done they held my car their for a week And i had to bring it back again and they finally fixed the bad brakes the car came with... now 5 months later the car is not running HORRIBLE read more

I purchased a 2014 Volkswagen convertible beetle on July 15, 2022, from Sauls Motor Company in Smithfield, NC. I paid cash for the vehicle and the extended warranty ($13,672.00). On Thursday, July 21, 2022, I was pulling in my driveway, noticed oil spots on my drive , and felt like it was "running rough". Prior to turning off the vehicle on the dashboard the red-light flashing Inspection now & engine light came on. After the car cooled off, I checked the oil and there was no oil on the dipstick. I had a mechanic come and double check behind my findings and he found the same. He put four quarts of oil in my car. At the time I'd had the car 6 days and only driven it three of those days. I immediately called Ron (salesman that sold me the car from Sauls Motors) he advised me to utilize my extended warranty to have the car towed and fixed by an approved dealer under the Proguard Extended Warranty which I purchased at the time of car purchase from Sauls Motors. I spoke with a rep from Proguard Extended Warranty on July 15, 2022, and they approved for my car to be towed to Leith Volkswagen, Raleigh, NC. Friday morning, July 16, 2020, the car was towed to Leith Volkswagen where it remains. Leith was able to do an assessment on my car on July 28, 2022 and they brought me in to review. Their assessment verified an oil leak coming from the turbo oil return line oil leak coming from the turbo oil return line due to being installed incorrectly and not secured due to the casting on the block being broken off. I, the consumer, should have been called aside and spoken to in a reasonable manner the owner trying to resolve this situation. But that wasn't the case and their stance is that this damage was done after purchase - the car was in my possession 6 days and the damage stated above was not represented in the sale of the car - therefore I want a full refund for the purchase of the car and extended warranty, reimbursement of the rental car I still have and professional clean of my driveway which has very large and visible oil stains. read more

My nephew gave $5000 down and car was repossessed in a matter of a few days. Employee/family member of owner gave different reasons for this (which were all lies) and told my nephew he would NOT give a refund. He also referred to my nephew as "boy", my nephew is a 25 year old hard working black man and this type of language indicates to us THE EMPLOYEE/family member of owner IS NOT ONLY A LIAR BUT ALSO A RACIST! If I could rate Saul's zero stars, I would have done it. This is a terrible, dishonest business. I warn everyone to stay away at all costs. Spend your money anywhere else. You will be better off buying a bicycle from Walmart. We purchased a BMW that was salvaged. They lied about the damage to the vehicle. It is only worth 1/3 the cost of what we paid for it. I purchased a vehicle in December of 2014 and told them something was wrong with the transmission and they kept telling me no it was ok the mechanics looked at it. But now 5 mth later I took it to the Ford dealer and it has a recall and because it has a salvage title it is voided no recalls can be done. Now it's going to take $1200 to fix it. I went to try and work it out trade it and nothing and Sauls will not fix the car. Don't buy from here if you do take it to a dealer and have it checked out and ask if it has a salvage title. Also ask for a repair list of the damage that was fixed. read more
