I was quoted 1400 too have it replaced with another engine that I purchased from a reputable parts dealer. After being charged almost double,2400 dollars, my escalade literally leaks oil from both front and rear main seals,wich I had them replace prior too installing. Not only would they not repair thier the leaks,they wouldn't answer my calls and even lashed out on me when I went in thier business. I took them too court wich cost me 200 dollars,and ended up receiving a check from them for 800 dollars. The repairs cost over 1000,plus time lost waiting for repairs.
