Let me tell you, we could not be happier. The staff there truly love the kids. I'm constantly in awe of how they're able to manage and keep smiles on their faces. Our son is so spoiled and loved. Since starting EEP, he's really come out of his shell. The school is student focused and family centered. There are opportunities to get to know more families, my son has a great little group of friends, and the staff is so awesome. The hours can be a concern, but we do early drop off and extended day, which means that he's there from 7:45-3pm, which is pretty much a school day. If those hours work for you, DO IT. You definitely won't regret sending your kid(s) there.

My son had never been watched by anyone else and was terrified when I would leave him. However, the baby room teacher asked me to just try letting her hold him. Sure enough, he took right to her. Every teacher here has a way of making the kids feel important and loved. The facility is always so clean, the teachers are welcoming, and they always make sure my little guy has a great day. My son is now 2 and half years old and every day he comes home with a new art project. Everyday he is learning something new. I can't imagine ever taking my son to a different place. There are a variety of hour and day options. You child can go as little as 3 hours a day / 2 hours a week or 7 hours a day / 5 days a week (and there are many options in-between).

My youngest is now talking and I've even over heard him count. My oldest is starting to read and dazzles me with the knowledge he has picked up at school. It goes to show the teachers really know their craft. They also expose them to culture, a wide variation of subjects and proper behavior. The staff is very positive towards both my kids and... My kids glow from the attention. My biggest regret is needing to move away. I honestly would stay if I could in Galveston just for this school alone.

Odyssey Academy is a free public charter school from Prek until 12th grade. We've been here since…read moreday 1 and watched them grow-they now have schools in Galveston (the main), El Lago and Texas City. My kids all went here and our experience at OA has been great, from the students, staff, teachers and admins. The only thing we didn't like was there was no auditorium for events or an actual gym for students to use. Also they no longer have the middle school graduation or awards ceremony that I used to look forward to in May.

The only good thing is the pay. The school is very unorganized and most of the people there are naggy and if your kid goes here, expect them to come with a bruise or something when they come home cause they accept anybody and everybody to work as well. I wish nothing but the worst for the school I had the worst times working here some days I would walk out my days are horrible and the asking for days off. They're awful with that. You can only ask about two days. Which can be very bad when emergencies happen which lead up for people to quit FUCK MECC and also they have a lot of people suing them because they tend to kick children out of the school
