My hubby ordered the waffle sandwich without cheese but they still put it in. He ate it anyway and said the sandwich was good but wouldn't get it again. He absolutely loved my Ruben. We both hate rye bread and aren't too fond of corned beef but I crave this sandwich. It is the best rye I've ever had. You have to try it exactly as it comes, everything in this sandwich works together perfectly.

I did ask where the usual gals were. Jessica, one of the boy's mothers came out. I ordered usual. I took it home. Bag with gyros in it was soaked with oil. I took the gyros out. Oil was saturated through two things of foil, dripping onto my floor, and my hands were saturated. I had to wipe them off with paper towels. I called to speak to Jessica, reported the situation. She just said she would tell them to use less oil. She did not seem to care. I tried to eat one, soggy, oil soaked, and not much in it, nothing like usual. For a price of 33$, one drink, two gyros, one fry, two deserts? Not worth it, Ambiance was the same, a few people and nothing special. Obviously these kids did not know what they were doing. I will NEVER return again, I threw both gyros away. Waste of money. I ate a few bites prior and feel sick. I would no longer recommend. They are searching for manager and assistant. I am very disappointed. No understanding, caring or empathy involved. Smh, money is tight. Ps: A few bites and two hours later sick, cramps and nauseated. Never again!!!!

So when you ask why was there a toddler in the restaurant? The same reason why they have a little play center for children in the back corner it's inviting and it's kid friendly! Someone said in their review It had a chemical smell to the place? That's because it is extremely clean. There is a clean washcloth and solution back by the kitchen door where someone was tidying up when I was there and wiping down everything. I guess this is run by a Mexican family. Therefore, they speak Spanish but they also speak English. And the young men that were at the counter were very friendly super nice, very polite and got my order done quickly made with all fresh ingredients, and the taco shells were even handmade. Now about the food, the chicken tacos were excellent. The chicken is super fresh and delicious all of the filling it's just fresh and delicious. The beef tacos had less flavor and I would recommend ordering tomato, sour cream and salsa inside of the tacos. Not just cheese, beef and lettuce. The nachos were OK, they also liked a lot of toppings but overall I would give this 8.5 out of 10 and we'll go back again.

Look at the layers of flavor on this Manhattan sandwich (I added sprouts). However, if cold sandwiches aren't your thing, they have amazing salads, soups, and everyone tells me about their fabulous cakes. Specifically people rave about the Italian wedding cake. They have great coffee drinks, a stellar atmosphere, and the owner Ron has adorned the walls with his wonderful photography. This is definitely a local's favorite, but if you're visiting, you need to stop by and see why. Also, I LOVE the shops on either side of this coffee shop as well. Sioux City Gifts has obviously fabulous gifts and Sioux City specific items, but on the other side is the most adorable flower/plant shop you will find.
