CARRIE!!!! I absolutely ADORE YOU. You and your team are SO amazing…read more. Carrie was suggested to us from our wedding venue, the homestead at Wilshire Ranch, and as soon as I saw her work, I instantly knew I wanted to work with her. When first contacted her, her prices were a little out of our budget, knowing it would be high though since wedding photography and video is normally high, especially if their work is good. I informed her of our price range and she was willing to help cater to our budget. I was ecstatic since she had been my number one choice since the moment I saw her work. In her package she includes, wedding day photos of course and also an engagement shoot. With the engagement shoot we were able to get to know her a little as well as her get to know us. We fell even more in love with her. Her personality is so personable, really made us feel like her friend since most know, being photographed isn't always the most comfortable. She made us laugh, smile, comfortable, and warm (we shot our engagement session in the mountains with 40 degree weather!!) didn't even notice how cold I was though. Our big day, she arrived right on time and began to work her magic!! She was so attentive, kept our group in Check when things started to get rowdy, and with my family and friends, it gets rowdy hahah... she was so kind about everything though and you can tell she was working so hard to make sure everything was perfect. I am so beyond thankful to have found carrie and her team to photograph and video our very special day. We will be able to look back on the memories forever all thanks to her and the amazing team. Seriously LOVE LOVE LOVE you carrie!!! FOREVER THANK YOU. Ps, I plan on using you if I ever need anything photographed in the future. Big hugs!!

Like others said before, she seems amazing at first, until we put our deposit down. She disappeared. Sent our contact over a week later, then again no responses after that. EXTREMELY hard to get ahold of. Almost made me think she wouldn't show up on my wedding day. Day of, dressed unprofessional, had an attitude with videographer and family. It was such a beautiful venue and photos were only taken in 3 spots. One being the freaking dirt parking lot! My dressed was covered in dirt before my reception. Photos also look mostly unedited, not in a good way. Sadly, she was one of the venues recommended photographers.

I'm updating this review because I recently received another promotional text from her business advertising holiday mini sessions, and it reminded me that this situation was never resolved. I would personally not recommend booking with this photographer, especially if you have young children or are coordinating a family. Things happen with kids, traffic, and getting an entire family ready. Based on my experience, there was very little flexibility or grace when there was confusion surrounding our session time--even though we were at the beach at 5:50 for what we understood to be a 6:00 PM session. What continues to bother me most is that no photography service was ultimately provided, yet the entire $175 payment was kept, and I was asked to pay an additional $125 to reschedule. Almost a year later, my opinion has not changed. I wish I had known how this situation would be handled before I booked, which is why I'm leaving this update for other families to consider before paying in advance.

All of my previous sentiments and comments still ring so so true 2 years later! I reposted some of my favorite wedding photos on Facebook in celebration of our wedding and still received so many compliments about how beautiful the photos are. Not to brag, but we've been to many weddings since our own and seen the photos afterwards, and we still think Laarne is the best in the business! We have many displayed around our home and we really couldn't be any happier! Laarne gave us the gift of these amazing photos which we will cherish for a lifetime! Now, if only I could muster the energy to finally print them all out for our photo album, lol!

We needed to figure out where to allocate what funds, but I cried at the idea of having shitty Craigslist quality photography done of our wedding reception. I knew it was a once-in-a-lifetime (if you're lucky) event to photograph, but at the same time we couldn't fathom spending $8k+ on photography (with ONE shooter) then feeding our guests In N Out burgers (they had locally grown grass-fed steak named Betsy, MooMoo, and Lily. I hand picked them out to be brought out back.) If I can close my eyes and wish for a photographer with a customized perfect style/skill, a fair price, and well, a ridiculously fun personality, Laarne is it. I can't recommend them enough to any SoCal brides. She is SO talented, so funny, so sweet, and just. Well. I just spent an hour crying in my car looking through our photos. CRYING! I am now reliving moments that passed too quickly, and also experiencing details I never got to see because we were so busy! Laarne love, we adore you SO much. Thank you a MILLION.
