There were a few hit and misses at Sardine. The service was excellent though and I thought that alone was worthy of 5 stars, but maybe my food expectations were too high so I was disappointed with some of the dishes. For two we ordered the zucchini flower, sardines, tartare + bresaola, filet of fish with bacon, watercress, several glasses of white wine and a baileys digestif. I didn't find the sardines anything special and found that the bacon completely overpowered the fish fillet. The tartare was delicious but overall the food just wasn't where it needed to be given the hype and prices. Nice atmosphere and great location for when you need a "nicer" place to go in the area. Once is probably enough if you must. read more
