I went here as a student and would never send my children to this "school". Firstly, they…read morediscriminate against male students by imposing unfair restrictions upon them that do not apply to the girls. For example, they have a rule banning male students from having long hair. This in and of itself is disgusting but to add insult to injury this rule does not apply to the girls. Sexism at it's finest. In addition to that, male students are constantly being taught that they are inferior to females. At one assembly they literally had a powerpoint presentation about why it's better to be a girl than a boy. They had female students from all different years come onto the stage and give their reasons why girls are better than boys, one of their reasons "we can hug our friends without people thinking we're gay". This brings us to the second reason this school is terrible: homophobia. While I attended this school they published an article in the school news letter one week teaching that homosexuality was "wrong" and "bad". One time in class a teacher was angry at a female student so she embaressed her in front of the class by implying to the class that she was a lesbian, and meaning this as an insult. This just goes to show the ideaology of the schools administration. Thirdly, this school is extremely unsupportive of students, particularly students with mental illness or learning disabilities. The teachers and the school administration only focus on encouraging "cookie cutter" students with perfect academic grades with no "rule infringements" (no matter how unfair their rules are). All other students are ignored, berated and humiliated. While at the school I was treated very poorly by teachers and was made fun of by the teachers for having a mental illness (something totally outside my control). I have seen teachers scream at students when they haven't done anything wrong, teachers forcing students to pick other peoples garbage off the floor, and over all just attacking students self esteem. Fourthly, the school are scamming theives. During my last two years at this school, my grade was issued with laptops that we had to use for all our classes. The school gave me a laptop that was broken, and then forced my parents to pay $300 saying that I broke it. Fifthly, the school cares more about uniform policy than they do about teaching. The school faculty get really cranky when you say this to them (because they know it's true). Proof of this: teachers will literally prevent students from going to class, or remove them from class, for small uniform infractions such as not having a tie or girls dress being above the knees. The fact that they would deny a student time in class becuase of a small uniform infraction just proves that they care more about the school looking good rather than actually being good. Sixthly and finally, the teachers at this school are simply not good teachers. They barely go over anything in class and just get the students to look up all the information themselves at home. Sexism, homophobia, self-hatred, theivery: these are the "christian values" that will be inflicted upon your children should you send them to this school, not college, school! They changed the school name to "college" to make themselves sound more prestegious, further proof that they are all about looking good rather than being good. Avoid this school like the plague.
