The bathroom - wow. It totally doesn't match the character of the motel, but WHO CARES!!! It has 9 shower heads, a heated blower for when you're out of the shower and LOTS of hot water!! My sons have never been so clean!! I was a little taken aback by the fact that my credit card number is written down in its entirety on the side of my receipt. I would appreciate that it be destroyed after the room is confirmed to be in the same condition it started. Pretty pricey for what you get, but with limited options around concert time, it suited our needs.

After contacting booking.com to verify we had reservation they contacted motel. Same lady at office was unable to clarify why our reservation was not honored. If you would like to have a reliable place to stay do not book a reservation at this place. They may not reserve your room.

Next the room, smelled like a hair band just got down inside of it or it was used as an ashtray. Had to go out and buy air fresheners to help the smell. The suite was the same size of the bathroom. Which for a bathroom was big. The shower had black gunk in the jets (mmm clean)! They gave us two towels for three people for two nights. In the mornings on our floor they provide free coffee and tea. Since we also had some time in between wedding festivities, we went to the hotel pool and had a nice time. When I checked in I was greeted by a friendly woman at the reception desk. The check-in was quick and efficient. I was directed to the middle entrance. Upon arrival I found that the outside door did not lock, the swipe was not functional. Inside, I had to schlepp my suitcase upstairs due to the lack of an elevator in that location. Upon arrival in my non-smoking room I found the room stank like cigarette smoke. I tried to notify the front desk just to find that although the instructions for calling the front desk are to dial 0, after 10 or so rings the voicemail system answered. I was never able to raise the front desk from the room phone. I finally called from my cell phone. The room itself was clean (yea!) but in need of a major facelift. Not very well laid out, there is almost no place to set something down. Outlets are at a premium. The two beds could use new mattresses, although I did end up sleeping ok. Bottom line, location, location, location. The room was overpriced for what it is. Anywhere else this would have been half the price. Next time I'll spend $20 more per night and have something price range appropriate.

It didn't take away from the ambiance of the room but added a feature many Bed and Breakfasts don't have. Breakfast was awesome! Coffee and tea are available at any hour. Fresh coffee is out at 7:30 and breakfast served from 8:30-10. I truly enjoyed tea from a beautiful tea cup and saucer. Nancy and Bill served fresh fruit, I was impressed with the variety they offered for April. The scones, maple one day we stayed lavender the next were cooked to perfection. For $89 a night with a continental breakfast, in this day and age, what would your expect? The check-in was fairly easy. I was able to get into the room several hours ahead of the 3 pm check-in time. The inn was very quiet. Not a lot of guests. The room was warm when I got there. They were kind enough to turn the heat up for our arrival. I brought my 5 month old golden retriever puppy. There was a $25 fee for her to stay with me. In the dialog on their website it said a $25 deposit, insinuating that it would be refunded. Because I booked my room directly with their front desk person, Angela, she explained that it was a fee that would not be refunded. **I would highly recommend that the inn update their website to avoid miscommunication and misleading language about this matter. The room was clean, but yes, not boutique stylish and modern. The sheets were clean, the towels clean, but thread-bare. Even though the room was tired, it's was very functional. There was a small fridge. A single serving coffee maker. Angela (hotel staff) directed me to Fitzgerald's across the street for a late lunch. It was good pub food, friendly staff. After hiking nearby Lake Moreau state park, I ordered some take-out Chinese from a small "takeout only" place about 5 mins north of the inn. The shower took a while to get hot. But after about 5 mins there was plenty. Slept very well, the inn was surprisingly quiet, as it is between Rt 9 in front, and a truck route cut-through behind the property. Lots of outdoor space for walking the puppy and outdoor garbage receptacles for waste disposal. I didn't have the included breakfast, but I did fill up my coffee mug before hitting the road. Coffee was hot and decent. Looked like a lot of package cereals and pastries. I don't remember seeing any fresh fruit or protein options. All in all, if you're looking for an inexpensive, decent place to stay in the South Glens Falls, Saratoga, queensbury area, I would recommend it.

Their lack of remorse or suitable amends will deter me from ever booking a property with them again. Make sure you do your homework, research the property thoroughly and read all the fine print before engaging them. I know, avoiding problems is literally the best reason you use a rental company, but didn't work out so well for us. At least I booked through Airbnb and may just have some recourse yet.
